Everything about this place was perfect. Well-situated (a very short walk to Main Street & Mirror Lake). For hikers, I highly recommend Cabot Hill trail! The place was clean, well-stocked with all basic amenities, and wi-fi worked well. The host was responsive and friendly.Bonus: a family of deer came to the window to say hello!
Communication was great, the house is in a good location.

Alana,
Thank you for the 5 star review. The location of the house is a great benefit while visiting the area. We look forward to your return in the future.
The cottage was set back from the main road which was nice. Michael, the host, was extremely helpful with dining suggestions and things to do in the area. We had a great stay!

The property was exactly what I was looking for with my trip to Lake Placid. It was very comfortable in a location just far enough from the main part of town to be quiet but easy, walkable access to everything I needed.
Perfect home for a couple of friends, maybe 3, to explore the Lake Placid area. Only 20-30 minutes from great hikes, Whiteface, John Brown Farm, Mt. Van Hoevenberg, Lake Saranac. A short walk to ice cream, pizza, and just a little farther to downtown LP. Host was very responsive and home is sufficiently equipped. My friend and I had a very nice stay.
Great place to stay. Across from lake Placid and a short walk to town !! Located in a quiet area. Mike was great with everything !! Would Stay again

Easy, practical, well maintained, perfect for activities anywhere around the Lake Placid area.
The property was convenient — very walkable into town. Everything was clean. We met a cute dog outside when we first got there (a total plus in my book!). Parking was easy… I would definitely stay there again the next time we are up!

Julie,
Thank you for the 5 star review. The location of the cottage along with the updated renovations makes it the perfect little getaway. We look forward to your return.

Perfect location, walkable to Main St.
House was clean and updated on the inside. The only issue we had was that the cooktop is super slow so either plan on eating out or precooking! Took an hour to cook bacon- no exaggeration. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again!

Thank you for your review. We take our feedback seriously and plan to update our cooktop with a more efficient and functional one. It is a great location to access Main street Lake Placid without having the hassle to park and pay for parking. We look forward to your return!
We had an unexpected stay in Lake Placid and Mike's property was the perfect spot for us to enjoy cycling, hiking, and relaxing. We barely used our car and found the location to be excellent. We loved the little front porch and seeing the beautiful flowers. Highly recommend this spot. Thanks Mike for being a terrific host!

The house was very clean and orderly, with comfortable beds. The hosts were good communicators and went above and beyond, offering to do things that they wouldn't be required to do, like early check in. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. Thermostats in every room. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
Probably the best thing was that each room has its own thermostat and in winter that is so nice! As for cleanliness, it was as if we were the first to stay after a renovation. Kitchen, bath all new. Beds comfy, towels soft. It’s just over the hill from downtown, we enjoyed a short drive and walks along all the shops. Only about 20 mins from Whiteface ski area. Will def consider it next time we are in the area.
All good!
Would suggest to the owner that the TV have more options. I am not a TV watcher, but I did want to catch up on the news and found that difficult. Maybe an antenna would help if there are local channels that can be received.
Other than that, I would suggest a shade on the front door to provide more privacy.
Other than that, I would highly highly recommend this place as it was quiet and comfortable in a good location and clean and convenient and well appointed

Bruce,
I'm glad the weather was accommodating for the motorcycle tour. I apologize for the limited access to media outlets. We have a ROKU that allows visitors to log in to platforms they have memberships with. I'm glad you had a chance to enjoy the quiet location and found comfort in your stay. Thank you again for booking with us.
This home is very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay here. Upon entering, every room is very clean and tidy. We brought our bicycles and were pleased to find a storage room at the back of the home where we could store them. The kitchen had everything you would need, including lots of dishes, glasses, mugs, etc. and also had a nice coffee maker that uses a filter & ground coffee (both were provided). There was an appliance instruction booklet since there was not a conventional stove. In place of that, there was a combination microwave-convection oven. Also there was a glass ceramic cooktop with symbols on it. I probably should have contacted Mike to get more instructions on using the convection oven and the cooktop, since I am not familiar with either of these appliances. I did use the microwave and toaster oven. One additional item I would have liked would be some type of small dresser in the bedrooms. We had to keep our clothes in our suitcases for the 5 days of our stay. But we were very happy with our stay and would stay again.

Karen,
Thank you for the kind review. We appreciate the feedback and will be incoporating your suggestions. I'm glad you were happy with the back storage area to protect your bikes from the elements. This was incorporated for the many visitors who are competing in the Ironman Tri or just coming for a short trip to take advantage of the recreational bike trail. Thank you for booking with us and look forward to your return.
The house is beautifully renovated and impeccable. It is perfect for a family of 3-4. It is tucked in the second row off Saranac Ave. so traffic is not heard. There is a small porch around the entrance and the parking spot is right in front of the house (additional parking is available). Rooms have individual thermostats and heating is very effective - it was easy to keep the house perfectly comfortable at all times despite sub-zero temperatures that we experienced for couple days early in the week. There was also a ton of snowfall which was effectively and timely removed by a friendly neighbor so that we were never buried and late to Whiteface. The house is very thoughtfully, thoroughly and freshly equipped and the instructions are very clear. There is a great walk-in closet next to the two upstairs bedrooms to put all the ski clothing and luggage. The two bedrooms have high-quality queen mattresses. We ate at home 50% of nights and the kitchen is perfectly stocked with all sorts of cooking utensils and a starter kit of coffee, tea, sugar, slat and spices. Michael is a terrific host both in upfront preparation and thoughtfulness, as well as immediate responsiveness. Nothing is missed! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.
