About this property
RnR Mountaintop Custom Log Home with private pickleball court
The well-crafted high-end home is clean and spacious. The many windows allow you to see the breath-taking mountain and valley views from inside. The main room has a 23’ wall of windows. The property has maintained wandering paths to various benches and hammocks so you can choose a perfect spot to read a book or nap. The ceilings and log walls in every room are extraordinary - a work of art! The night skies are void of any ambient light sans the Milky Way. Excellent dining choices, museums, churches, stores, breweries are nearby. The home has its own pickle ball court too!!

About the host
Hosted by Robyn Franks

We are schoolteachers who love the outdoors. We work hard and enjoy teaching so much. Having this home allows us a space to recharge. We teach in the foothills about 2 hours away and right after school, we head up the mountain with our teenage son.
Why they chose this property
We traveled for 5 years trying to pick the perfect place for our future retirement home. We found we kept returning to the Lost Sierra area. In 2016 we found and purchased this home naming it the "RnR of the Lost Sierras." We come here for rest and recreation - romance too! We love camping but found that most campgrounds are noisy and not very private. The RnR allows us a place to retreat when we aren't at school. It is everything we wanted and more. It was an amazing place to quarantine during the pandemic.
What makes this property unique
We have privacy and the quietness we were searching for yet still close to shopping, restaurants, breweries etc. Reno is less than an hour away. We know that once a guest experiences the "RnR", they will want to return. We are very confident in that. We own the property next to this one; our first tenants have returned full time every summer since for the past 4 years. Even though we have owned this property for six years, it still feels like vacation every single time we are there. We feel so blest to be able to call this home ours. We are excited to share it with others.
