The cabin was clean, in a great location for sxs rides, close enough to town for necessities and overall a great stay! Easily accommodated our group of 4 adults and 5 kids.
Located conveniently near major attractions. Came for ATV riding, lots of great trails near cabin. Very spacious cabin, would stay here again!

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Hoe was clean but the ahower curtains didnt even fit the showers so water went every where. Has holes in rhe wall where they had a towel rack in the bathroom. Never replaced the towel rack. The basement should only be for the laundry. They have had nlackold so they cut parts of the sheet rock of in the basement. Plus it smells very damn and musthy.
We had four couples staying together and it was the perfect place to give each couple their own space while allowing us to be together in the common areas. We will definately be staying there again in the future.
Great parking for trailers. Location is great for accessibility to Mickelson Trail and ATV trails. Appreciate the number of beds, but not a lot of living space for everyone to eat or hang out. There are minor upgrades that would be nice, such as a working can opener, a functional serving spoon, a pair of scissors, night stands by all beds, and a larger water heater for everyone to shower. Another good upgrade would be a bathroom in the basement since there are 2 queen beds down there and the upstairs bathroom is difficult to use if someone is sleeping in the loft.
Traveling family of five (including 18 year old and grandparents in their 80s).Beautiful location- 3 miles from Hill City. Super close to Crazy Horse. House is minimal but very well equipped and very clean. We had a minor issue with the toilet in the first 10 minutes of our arrival and the home owner responded immediately with some instructions and had someone out to double check within hours. Highly recommend!
The location was great, very convenient to Mount Rushmore and tourist attractions near there. House was comfortable, pleasant and as described on the listing and properly ready for us. Just had a small issue which was very satisfactorily resolved. Communication with the host was excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
We loved being able to celebrate our mother's 80th birthday with family all together. We were able to stay together in a cabin that allowed us to eat together, sleep comfortably, play cards, and watch movies. An added plus was the outside environment. We were able to pet horses, sled and take walks! Peaceful. Pretty. Perfect.
We were very happy with the location of this house. I would have loved a dishwasher with as many of us as there were, but it was fine. If you're going during a hotter time, bring fans as the upstairs does not cool down well, and extra blankets for those in the basement, as that stays very cold. The bedrooms do not have ceiling lights, so it is pretty dark in there in the evenings. We took advantage of the hot tub and fire pit and loved watching the horses walk by us each morning and evening. There was plenty of space outside for the kids to play and spread out. The host was amazing when I had questions and super responsive! Thank you!
Booked this for the family and we had a great time. We made use of the fire pit, grill, and hot tub several times, definitely nice amenities on the property. My little niece loved walking over to watch the horses. The trail network that runs right in front of the place was awesome and well kept. The host was very communicative and helpful during our stay. A quick drive to downtown Hill City.
Good location in the Black Hills. Good access to all parts of the southern Hills.Refrigerator was off and warm when we arrived. Moved plug to different plugin and it then worked. No furniture or chairs in first floor master bedroom to lay luggage on. Not convenient to lay luggage on floor.Would be nice to have grab bars in the first floor bathroom tub shower, which was very slippery. Also a few towel bars would be nice instead of a few hooks. We also found a couple of other electrical plugins that did not work.
We didnt know there was a code to access the house. I didnt hear from anyone the day of arrival which is common courtesy. I had to go to the office for the other properties at the same site for help to call our host to get the code. The refrigerator wasnt turned up before our arrival so took about a day and a half to get to temp. Overall the house was a great size for amount of people we had. We own property on the same road and in Rapid City so am very familiar with the area. Thank you for an enjoyable stay. Would love to do it again in the future.
This was the first time our adult kids got to meet each other. The setting was wonderful, close to so much to do. The house was set up so each family had their own space. We loved the hot tub, fire pit and the front porch. It allowed us to have a wonderful time, see and do lots of things in the Hills. Thank you!
Had plenty of room for parking and unloading our side by side vehicles. Living and kitchen area was smaller - worked just fine for our group because we were out on the trails all day. Enjoyed coming back and utilizing the hot tub. Would have been nice to have a bathroom downstairs . Area was nice and quiet - close to a lot of trails.
Beautiful cabin in a great location. Communication was great! Cabin is stock with basic essentials. It snowed the day before we went there which made the scenery wonderful but then also covered the patio and driveway. We did have to wait a bit for that to get cleared but gentlemen came early evening and was pleasant. The cabin could use a deep clean and a few more dish towels and rags. Overall wonderful place! Would stay again.
We got there pretty late in the evening but had no problems getting in the door. Cabin had all the amenities we needed. I would recommend bringing a few more blankets if you have "blanket snobs" like my daughters who want their own fluffy blankets. The property was clean, quiet, and close to everything everyone wanted to see. We all went our own way during the day and then came back to the cabin at night. Can't wait to come back again next year.
It was over the top. More than what we expected.
Extra beds and bedding and towels for all of us.
Outstanding. The little kids ran up and down your hills beside the cabin and played hide and seek for hours Campfire and hot tub was enjoyed by all. Very quiet to sleep and everyone slept good in the beds. Very comfortable 👍💕
Totally fun and roomy for all of us and all ages
Our group consisted of two adult couples from Aberdeen SD along with five collegiate International Exchange Students from South Korea. We all loved the rural setting, the kids loved being able to walk out the front door and see the stars in the sky, and we also loved the short and easy drive into Hill City for supplies. Everyone we met in Hill City were extremely friendly, and we also enjoyed being able to hang out together and play games and have snacks and beverages. So much more convenient than a hotel! We had a great time overall!
Quick 2 night trip for Fall Break. Perfect size for 3 families as far as bedrooms. Would have been nice to have a 3rd bath with basement bedroom. Needs new carpet and many light bulbs out but management agreed and said it’s in the plans. Very easy to communicate with. Bring your own firewood. It wasn’t clear to us.
