Gorgeous lakefront cottage with beautiful sunset views!

Beautifully renovated last year, the main house is 40 feet from crystal clear water. Embden Pond is one of the cleanest lakes in Maine. Sit on the deck or dock and watch the breathtaking sunsets across the mountain range while you listen to the loons. This spot is wooded on both sides to create nice privacy. We have a fire pit and hammock at the water's edge.

We are on lake water. We filter and drink it as Embden is the 3rd cleanest lake in maine but you may prefer to bring bottled water.
Please flush only toilet paper as our septic system is sensitive.
Please use caution and no diving as water off dock is shallow.

Wonderful lake front property. Enjoyed kayaking, roasting marshmallows at fire pit, and sitting on dock.Great place to stay. Clean with convenient amenities. Host provided easy instructions to follow. Would definitely stay again.

Embden Pond holds a very special place in our hearts and we just loved every moment of our vacation here. The weather was great, which allowed us to enjoy swimming, fishing, sunsets, the quiet property and s’mores by the fire pit one night. The house contains everything you need.

Excellent place to relax and refresh!

Our experience exceeded our expectations. Beautiful setting on the water. The house was perfect in every way. Being able to bring our dogs was important to us. Highly recommended.

Early May for rafting trip

The inside is very nice. Clean and great views of water. The water that comes into the faucet is from the lake. So bring water to drink if that is not for you. One of the main reasons I chose this place was because of the photo of the dock in the water because my boys like to fish, however the dock was dismantled and sitting in the back yard. That was a large disappointment because we wanted to fish from the property. I should have asked . Other than that very quiet and private.

I have been researching maine lakes for 25 years and waiting a long time to find this gem on Embden Pond. The water quality is exceptional and the lot is perfect for waterfront enjoyment with is westerly views and large open lawn. The updated dock is perfect for sunbathing and swimming. The boat traffic is minimal so you can enjoy the quiet nature sounds. You will love relaxing here where you can easily find shade (in the hammock at waters edge), under the umbrella on the deck or in the beautiful sunshine where you can paddle, float, play yard games or sunbathe.
