This place was very cute and super clean. The master bed mattress was wonderful. The master was so quiet all night, so much better than a hotel room. I was even welcomed to the property by a young local who was kind enough to stay for a picture.

Great spot for kids

The double bunk beds were so fun for the kids. We were more in and out on a road trip so we were not able to enjoy the town/area longer but everything was great with the visit.

Nice Stay

We weren't sure how to get all the mini split air conditioners to work and their was an issue with the drain, but there was a nice gentleman who came and fixed these as soon as we communicated the issue. The home is very cute and inviting and in a great location.

About the host

Hosted by Andrea Bunker Marrese

Host profile image
Hello - my name is Andrea and welcome to the Casa del Drea. A little history about me as your host. I grew up in Pueblo Co. (20 minutes north of Colorado City) and currently live in Denver Metro, Co. In my career in real estate, I always knew that I wanted to have a mountain home to take me away from the big city life and to enjoy my time off with my family and friends when we all have time to get together. I always liked the idea of having a short walk or ride to adventure the outdoors where the deer roam freely. When I am in Rye, some of my favorite things to do is start my day by enjoy my coffee in the sunroom, eating at the Rye Cafe (less than 1 block away) visiting with old friends and making new ones. Other fun things to do is picnic at the Rye Mountain Park-5 minutes away, San Isabel lake-10 minutes away, Bishops Castle-20 minutes away, the old town of Westcliffe-a short 45-minute drive and relaxing in the yard with a glass of wine and watching the deer. There are so many things to do in the surrounding areas that will take your breath away. Thank you for visiting Casa del Drea and I know you will enjoy your stay and if not please let me know so I can make it right for you. Happy eating and enjoy the wildlife.

Why they chose this property

Casa del Drea is a property that is unique. Some of the history of this property is that is at one time it was a garage, daycare and glass blowing art gallery. The unique apple trees (red, yellow and green) produce so many apples in the summer/fall time and the plumb trees are also producing which makes this an orchard haven. Also, the location offers access to so many fun things to do makes it a perfect location.

What makes this property unique

Quaint, unique, easy access for adventures, yard to relax, sunroom, sliding doors that combine the indoors with the outdoors and so much more.
