Plenty of room to accommodate our family of 6. A/c had trouble keeping up at first on warmer day but was comfortable the rest of the stay. We never could get wifi to have service even though it connected easily. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Even watched some vhs between hikes! Really appreciate borrowing the bear spray, and so glad we didn't have to use it!!!

The place was clean and beds comfortable. The AC was inadequate and the windows would not open to allow fresh air in during the night. One of the shower heads was broken. One big issue, the wifi was not connected to the internet and Verizon cell service was limited. I couldn't receive or send important emails, check online financial information, or contact the host about it without driving to town. I wish I had been told that Verizon service is limited in the area and that there would be no wifi internet service before I reserved this house. Lastly, the road to the home was rough and in need of maintenance.

Pros:- Home is clean and very close to the park entrance! Convenient location to East Glacier Town and Park. Excellent if you plan on spending most of your time at the park. - Host is quick to respond to messages and excellent to work with!- Home is tucked away so you feel like your isolated in the mountains, not in the middle of a subdivision or surrounded by neighbors Downsides: - If you are staying downstairs you can hear everything that happens in the house (likely just a side effect of the age of the home) - The home does appear to have some mold or mildew in the bathroom and downstairs (likely to the high humidity and rainfall Montana gets) - the living areas would be cramped if you had ten adults. It comfortably fit our six adults and two small children.- Internet is very spotty (likely due to mountain location)Overall I enjoyed my stay and the Host was very easy to work with. Most downfalls of the property has to do with the age of the home and location in the mountain (which is also it's biggest positive).

This fit our needs. Stayed 2 nights, dog friendly. House was fully equipped to cook or BBQ. Great place to wind down at end of the day. Instructions made it super easy to find.

Our back yard does not have bottles scattered; that’s an exaggeration. I found one yes one Gatorade bottle near the back porch that was left by a guest, but I would not consider that one bottle as ‘bottles scattered.’ Maybe you could have taken a photo to prove your statement. Our kitchen was stocked with real utensils; if it was missing anything, it’s because guests had taken them or had stolen them. However the kitchen has been restocked again with ‘real’ dishes including ‘real’ silverware. We will be taking better inventory after each stay and if anything missing will be charged to that guest on the future. Thanks for your partially true review. All your issues have been addressed, improved and taken care of.

House was clean and had the necessities. Quite a bit older than expected, deck/ stairs/railing need some work for safety. Extremely narrow/ sharp turn on one-vehicle driveway. No way to see if there is another vehicle coming, like the neighbors who share the same driveway.

Smokey stay

NO : tv,wifi, cell reception or washer/dryer; power outage , pump alarm had to be disarmed, waterheater had to be constantly reset and a pluming leak which flooded a downstairs bedroom so as to make it unusable the last night of our stay. Other than that and the general dis repair of the outside we had a nice quiet stay on a secluded property near Glacier National Park.Since access to the park is now limited to timed entry the lack of cell service/wifi was a major inconvenience.

We have tv and WiFi. The pump alarm has been solved. We purchased a new water heater. The leak was not a plumbing leak. It was a leak from a drinking water cooler machine. We purchased a new one. Come see our newest improvements in 2024!

East Glacier Property

The property works for visiting Two Medicine, St Marys and Many Glacier areas. It is close to town for access to what stores there are - East Glacier is a small town with one less than fully stocked grocery. There are restaurants and a laundromat. The property has lots of outdoor space, but is located in bear country, and a bear was seen in the yard the day before we arrived. You will definitely need to use a map service to locate it - Trestle Road is not labelled, although when you see a dirt road that runs underneath a railroad trestle, Trestle road is a very apt name. The home is a work in progress, and kitchen implements were sparse.

Bears are seen in most towns in western Montana, and our property is no exception to that. The house is constantly updated and improving. The road signage will be in place in 2024. The kitchen utensils have been restocked again. Seems items have come up missing due to guests taking them. We will be doing a better inventory after each checkout to assure it remains stocked. While no doubt the nightly price was competitive for the area, the overall condition of the property rundown. Outdoor deck area and windows had flaking paint. A new coat of paint would go a long way for improved appearance. All but a few windows had screens resulting in lots of flies everywhere, no A/C option except for small dining room area window unit. Kitchen was a mess: toaster barely functional, oven itself and area around it dirty. No dishwasher. Hot water heater made banging noise when water was being used or tiolet flushed. Scenery was not breathtaking as described. Positives were that the property was very close to East Glacier park entry and secluded, beds and bathrooms clean. If deficiencies noted here were addressed a much higher rating would be merited.

We were a group of 6 adults. Listing indicated sleeps 10. Host misrepresented property amenities; one bath usable, second bath no shower, no functioning toilet with note on it to not use; water funky with oily feel, has water cooler near kitchen with sign saying to use for cooking and water. Had to text for refills as none on site; has small 2 cup coffee maker, small microwave, no satellite to watch TV; numerous areas in disrepair or under remodeling; hot water heater shut off on us. Had to locate tank to push restart. No guest instructions. Slow or no text response. Two bedrooms in unfinished basement, two upstairs. 4 queens, no king. Really disappointed.

4th of July 2025

We came in from MN to spend the 4th with family. We had 4 generations at the house and it was great! One family even bought their camper, so the baby would have a quiet place to sleep. Everything was clean. I LOVE the location!!! Two blocks away from coffee shops, bars and restaurants. 5 minute drive to the East Glacier Park entrance, 50 minutes to St Mary's, 15 minutes to Two Medicine. We loved Going To The Sun Road so much that we did it two days in a row! Attractions: We did the boat & optional hike tour at Two Medicine Lake. We did the 3 pm tour and wish we'd had more time. The last boat ride back is 5:15. We had 13 people with us, and could have used a couple more hours of hiking to the lake & waterfalls. We had a 5 yr old do the 4.5 mile hike and 8 month pregnant mom. It was harder than we thought it was going to be though. Wear good shoes. St Mary's boat tour is good for old people or Littles under 5 years old. This tour has a longer boat ride, with only 15 minutes off the boat to walk to 1 water fall. If you go earlier, there's time to drive up to the sun road. It's the best 1-2 hr drive ever!! At tge end, you're in West Glacier, so stop at Lake McDonald for a picture of the colored rocks!

When we arrived, the place was visibly dirty. There was a large sticky spill in the kitchen. The basement had a terrible musty smell. The bed linens looked like the only thing that had been cleaned. We kept finding personal items (like glasses and hats) that had been left by other guests. Given the location, we had low expectations, but this fell below those.

AC was in hall, with very low capacity, which not cover the bedroom, it's too hot at night. 1 of the Grill is missing in the stove and one was not working. All dishes provided none of the microwave compatible. No Internet, No TV and Phone does work in this house, Toilet was not flushing well, it not two washroom, it's one and half. I strongly recommend to look somewhere else, Stay in Kalispell or whitefish
