Perfect for Family - HEATED POOL thru early Oct, WALK to Downtown/Beach, HOT TUB

'Sunset Center' is an adjacent pair of family vacation houses. The 'Ice House' is a 6 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom vacation home featuring a private gated 24 foot heated swimming pool, 6 person hot tub, playscape, and wooded ravine lot with fire pit. The property is an easy 4 block walk down the sidewalk to South Beach, Kid's Corner, and downtown shopping and dining.


All comforts of home are provided, including washer and dryer, linens, all major kitchen appliances (including refrigerator with ice and water dispenser, range, dishwasher, and microwave), kitchen utensils, free wireless Internet, 8 cable TVs (Four with X1 Voice Enabled boxes with apps such as Netflix, Youtube, and access to the HDR, and 4 basic cable boxes for the remainder), many DVD/VCR players, CD players, just to name a few.


The house is perfect for families with children of all ages. The pool and hot tub are gated for your protection. The back yard is completely fenced.


The pool will be open and heated from mid May until approximately October 1. The hot tub is open and heated year-round. Enjoy the rare warm water in South Haven in June and September!

Need even more space? My property actually has 2 houses next door to each other. My Sun House (Property #313907) is another 6 bedroom house right next door.

House Details: Family-friendly items included are books for all ages, toys, puzzles, movies for all ages, well-loved bikes, riding toys, high chair, full size crib with rocking chair, 2 baby gates, excersaucer, strollers, sippee cups, baby monitor, booster seats, and pool toys. Enjoy the flexibility and convenience of having 6 private bedrooms, conveniently located throughout the house! 5 bedrooms are upstairs. One is a master suite with private bathroom. Another full bathroom is in the upstairs hall. 1 bedroom is downstairs, also with a private bathroom. The house has a large 28 x 14 foot carpeted living room that includes 2 cable televisions (50 inch and 44 inch). The 14 x 14 dining room comfortably fits an 8 foot dining table. The kitchen has sliding glass doors that open to the backyard deck and pool/spa area.

More House Details: All six bedrooms are carpeted. All 6 bedrooms have ceiling fans. The house has 9 ceiling fans in all. The master bedroom has a faux balcony overlooking the backyard pool area. One bedroom has a trayed ceiling. Outdoor security cameras are in use at the front door and driveway only.

Wonderful Family Home

We had 3 different groups from our family staying here and had a wonderful experience. The home was clean and absolutely stocked with nearly every child item you could need (bikes, strollers, toys, cribs, etc.). Very convenient to walk downtown and to the beach. Long weekend family getaway

We had a long weekend family getaway in South Haven. There were 7 adults and 2 kids. There was plenty of room for everyone, the house was stocked with everything we needed , communication was great on checkin, keys , etc. Location was great for an easy walk to the lake, shops and restaurants. Everyone enjoyed their stay!!

The home was perfect for a large group. Walking In I was very impressed to find that it was exceptionally clean. It was the most comfortable and well stocked rental I have been in. Wonderful Home Away From Home!

We were a large family group, staying in South Haven for Mother's Day weekend. The Icehouse offered us a lovely place to stay while exploring the South Haven area. The six bedrooms, three full and one half baths made our stay very comfortable. We spent our evenings playing games at the large dining room table, and were grateful to be able to enjoy the pool and hot tub in the afternoon. We would love to stay again sometime and highly recommend this South Haven Gem!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed every bit of this rental. The pool/hot tub/ deck were the main hang out space. Kitchen was well-equipped. We appreciated having spare coffee, kitchen supplies, and toiletries so we didn't have to keep running out to get things. There were so many toys for the kids to explore and play with. And the location to the beach and downtown is wonderful. We had a few questions and the host, Jim, was very responsive, helpful, and kind. Can't recommend this place enough!

It was our wedding weekend. So we booked both the Sun House and Ice House to host family from all over including Germany who had never been to the US. The houses are amazing, fully equipped, they thought of every need!! The owners responded right away with any question. We want to come back every year for our anniversary! ❤️

Fall break

This spacious home was everything we were looking for in a vacation rental. From it’s six bedrooms to it’s beautiful backyard. A large deck with a gas grill, plenty of seating, a private pool, hot tub, and a shared play set for the kiddos. Very kid friendly with many books, board games, toys, and an actual arcade game in the home. The home was stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Plenty of towels, both bath and kitchen, garbage bags, paper towels, hand soap, laundry detergent and a fully functional kitchen. It is located near the playground and beach, and a short distance to downtown. The host offers a golf cart for an extra fee, which would be convenient to drive to the playground and beach. The host was very accommodating and responded quickly when texted. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Girls' Getaway

We loved the location of this property, so close to town and the beaches! Lots of bedrooms and baths, spaces to spread out if we wanted to. The hot tub was such a nice way to relax each evening. The house was clean, but could maybe use a deep cleaning, as there were fingerprints/smudges/dirt marks on the refrigerator handles, bathroom walls and some of the doors/door jams. Also, the half bath toilet may need new screws and caulk, as it would move easily if bumped into. Great house overall, we would rent again.

We have stayed in many rentals, and this was by far the most equipped. Everything was provided - all we had to do was show up! The house was immaculate, the features like the hot tub and play area for the kids were great! Bikes, helmets, strollers, games, puzzles, etc. were all there for us. Location was in a quiet neighborhood near the downtown area. Jim is a great host - even sent a few items we left behind. Would definitely stay here again. So glad we chose this property.

Fall Break Trip

Booked this property as a last minute fall break trip - the hot tub and pool were fantastic and the house was full stocked with toys which my six year old loved! The property was clean and in a great location. South Haven was fantastic, I would recommend.

Why they chose this property

We vacationed in South Haven for the first time in August of 2004. At that time, we had a family of 4, with a newborn and 1 year old. The town was so beautiful and kid-friendly that we knew we wanted to come back over and over. Since we are originally from Illinois and now live in the middle of Michigan, the South Haven location is a perfect meeting place for our family gatherings. We fell in love so quickly with the town that we purchased a 3 bedroom house in South Haven in November of 2004. We labored all winter to completely renovate the house into a 6 bedroom vacation home specifically designed for family reunions. We finished just in time for the summer of 2005 summer renters and the rest is history, with 100+ family reunions enjoyed at our homes!

What makes this property unique

We sincerely believe our properties are unmatched in the South Haven area for a family vacation. We have packed more amenities into our homes than any other home in our price range. 2 homes, 6 bedrooms in each, 4 bathrooms, heating swimming pool, luxury hot tub, playground, 8 HDTVs, short walk to beach, short walk to downtown. We love being able to walk everywhere we need to go in town. We are centrally located, so that we can walk to the beach or walk to downtown in about the same time.
