We just loved our time at The Gauguin House! The location was perfect for us, being able to walk into Oceanside. And the view!!! Doesn’t get any better than that. The kitchen was well appointed with anything we needed. Having 2 parking spaces was helpful as well. Highly recommend it!

Great Stay!

The property manager was very helpful. The house is in very good shape. Kitchen was very well stocked. The backyard and fire pit, were a huge hit. Plenty of space for everyone. One thing to note, the Master Bedroom, does not have a bathroom. You have to either go into one of the other bendrooms and access their bathroom, or go downstairs. Was not a huge deal, but something to be aware of. We would certainly stay there again.

Great location, amazing views, comfortable space

We really enjoyed our stay! The view from the sand yard out back was great, the kids played out there every day (it was too difficult to climb down the rocks to the beach there, but it’s a 5 min walk to get access during low tide!). We found everything we needed at the house including a crib, lots of pillows/blankets/towels, and kitchen gadgets. The beach toys/equipment are accessed through the downstairs bathroom (house instructions guide you somewhere else). The child gate installed for the bottom stairs was great to keep the kids contained a little. Definitely take a few minutes with your group to figure out the sleeping/bathroom arrangements - master doesn’t have an attached bath, but GREAT views and a ton of space. 2 other bathrooms on the same floor (attached to the other bedrooms) and a half bath on main/center level. Bottom floor has 2 rooms with a shared bath (and that bathroom is easy for anyone coming from playing in the sand to use). Not all the windows/doors open, but still plenty of places to see/hear the ocean. Oceanside pier is 15-20 mins walk away (0.9 miles) with walkway close to the beach 2/3 of the way, lots of food/treats near the pier. This was a great place to relax with multiple families together, and with kids.
