Lovely stay

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was comfortable, warm, inviting and quiet. Just what we needed. The in,-room coffee was remarkably good compared to other hotels, but there was no tea for my spouse, who doesn't drink coffee and there was no milk or cream. My only other observation is that the photos on the website make the room seem very spacious compared to it's actual size. The room is big enough, but it is on the small side. If you plan to hang out in the room, you might want to see about a larger space in the lodge.

quiet and beautiful

The location, build and maintenance were great. It was like going back in time to a peaceful place to recharge. I arrived after a lot of traveling and I just wanted peace and quiet to sleep and relax. I got what I was after and was also surprised with a great view and a great facility that felt like a beautifully preserved piece of history.
