The cottage is comfortable, relaxing and very well equippedfor a short break, like us, or a longer stayIt is perfect for a couple or small familyIdeally situated for exploring the south of Monmouthshire not far from Chepstow ,Monmouth and AbergavennyThe weather was good for our stay which meant we could sit out and enjoy the delightful garden
We really enjoyed our stay. Helen was lovely welcoming us, and was very helpful with any queries we had.The cottage was lovely with stunning views of the country, and the pretty garden was large and secure for our dogs to wander around.Location wise, it was only a short drive to Chepstow. Usk, not too far away, is a very pretty town with lovely pub/restaurants. Also visited Tintern Abbey, which was a lovely day out, with lots of craft shops and tearooms.Highly recommend, and would love to visit again sometimeLynn and Carol
We had a great time staying in the cottage and found it nice and clean. Nothing really to detract from our Christmas. Log fire was perfect. Location of the house is ideal for trips to the Brecons and into the Wye valley area. 15mins to Tintern Abbey and some excellent dog walking areas. Garden isn't totally secure if you have a houdini dog like ours but it's a big space for them to explore on a long lead. Helen was available if we needed anything and has a ready supply of logs for the fire.
I recently stayed at Pet-Friendly ‘Home from Home in the Wye Valley’ and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, it truly felt like a home away from home. The cottage was clean, cozy, and beautifully furnished, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.As a pet owner, I especially appreciated how welcoming the property was for our furry friend. There was plenty of space for walks nearby, and the secure garden meant we could relax without worrying. The location was stunning—peaceful yet close to lovely walks, local pubs, and scenic spots along the River Wye.The host were friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing, pet-friendly getaway in the Wye Valley. We’ll definitely be back!
