Whole stay was excellent. Liz and John were great hosts and were always there if needed. The enclosed dog area was very useful and we loved. being able to walk directly from the cottage. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely property with all we needed for our 5 night stay. Good views and friendly, helpful hosts. Good base for visiting Bristol (used Park and Ride), Bath and Wells and the nearby coast.
Return stay for 6 days to visit family and friends in the Bristol area Warm welcome by host Liz, accommodation, and provision of some groceries, met all our requirements including those of 18 month collie Seth
We were made very welcome and the cottage was perfect.
The views across the Gordano valley are stunning with mist lying in the bottom , sun on the other side and Autumn colours! The facilities for dogs were equally great with plenty of recreation space and nearby dog walks.
Amazing little place. Excellent location for Bristol and the coast. Lovely country walks. The cottage was fab. All the amenities that you need and Liz greeted us with bread, milk and biscuits!! What more could you want. Definitely recommend this place and will definitely stay again if coming back this wY
This was an ideal location for our visit.

We'll be back!!
Thankyou Rob & Jackie
Really enjoyed the stay. Nice cottages, clean, well-stocked and good WiFi. Liz and John very friendly. Our dogs were fascinated by the nearby sheep and chickens.
Very comfortable and cosy cottage; well appointed and spotlessly clean. Good bed. Lots of green and verdant views. Good location for visits to Bristol, Weston and the coast. Liz is a very pleasant and helpful host.
Great converted piggery near Bristol and Portishead.
We have stayed here twice. Very clean, well set out accommodation with good quality fittings. Owners are very helpful and available. Highly recommend for a stay near to Bristol and Portishead area. The accommodation is down a narrow lane but fine if you take it steady.
Liz and John are wonderful hosts - I completely fell in love with the cottage - it has absolutely everything and done to an amazingly high spec.
Loved the mood lighting - loved the facilities, loved the nearby walk, loved the sheep and chickens and especially loved the green woodpecker. I will be going back.
Thank you for a wonderful and peaceful stay.
Stayed for 3 nights, great location close to motorway but didn't ruin the experience.
Fabulous seeing the wildlife from the cottage.
Was raining rather a bit so didn't get to do the dog walks Liz recommended hopefully be back and do them next year.
Very friendly welcome, loved the little touches, really well maintained and dog friendly.
Thank you 😊
lovely property friendly hosts beautiful rural setting. accomodation spotless and well equiped. all mod cons.
We had agreat time and so did the dog.
Highly recomended
We live locally and needed somewhere dog friendly to stay for a few days, whilst having some renovation work done at home. Swallow Cottage was a great home from home and met all our needs. The cottage was well fitted out, warm and cosy. There was an area adjacent to the cottage to 'excercise' our two dogs, also plenty of walks near by. Views also great, including wild bird life. The hosts Liz and John were very friendly, helpful and left a welcome pack of essentials and treats which were appreciated. We all enjoyed our stay.
Swallow Cottage is beautifully designed and maintained with all comforts and facilities. The location is good for country and seaside walks as well as access to Wales, Wells, Glastonbury (close to M5). The lane is only daunting the first time; all users are sensible and respectful of others. The hosts are very friendly, warm and accessible if advice or information is needed.

Lovely clean, well-equipped & spacious barn conversion. Friendly & helpful hosts. Beautiful views over the Gordano valley. Would definitely stay there again.
Our dog liked saying hello to their sheep every morning. It's in a pen right across from the barn so be aware of that if you have dogs. There is an open grassy area in front which our dog happily explored but they also have a more secure enclosed area for dogs that like to wander.
Also be aware that this property is down a single track lane, which, depending which direction you come from, could be 2 miles (the other is around 3/4 of a mile). We arrived at night which is not the best time!
What a wonderfully well-presented and well thought out barn conversion! Bathroom/shower was better than the one in my own home! Liz and John had very kindly provided some groceries - milk, bread, biscuits, chocolate, tea, coffee, butter and marmalade. Cottage was warm and cosy which is what you need for an autumn/winter break in the English countryside in November!
Thanks to Liz and John for being such accommodating hosts - high standard accommodation but fantastically dog friendly too, it made a peaceful base (with plenty of great walking right on the doorstep with the reactive/high maintenance collie!) from which to visit my son in central Bristol. Beautiful setting and location and lovely attention to detail I hope to return. Rosy (ps any dog agility competitors may like to know there is a fabulous indoor school venue to hire just up the lane at Delta Agility which I recommend too)
Cottage for spotlessly clean and in a beautiful location.
Liz & John were brilliant hosts, nothing was to much bother. The weather was very hot and they even supplied a paddling pool so our dog could cool down. Cottage was comfortable with a real home from home feel. The cottage was equipped with everything, and the fan was a god send. The little extras was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Cannot recommend this place enough, super dog friendly! Thanks again Liz & John! we will be back!
