In the heart of the coolest neighborhood in the world (source Lonely Planet 2017) Oltrarno. In a splendid 17th century building, second floor without lift, just finished renovating with luxury materials. It consists of entrance hall with living room with sofa, fully equipped kitchen (stove, oven, sink, kettle, toaster and all the accessories for a meal), dining room with smart TV. The first bedroom is a suite with double bed, dressing room and private bathroom with sink, toilet, bidet and shower, a second bedroom with double bed, another complete bathroom. Washer and dryer, AC, heating and latest generation wifi make this apartment particularly pleasant. Although life in the neighborhood is sometimes noisy, this apartment has windows facing a small street and an internal courtyard, avoiding annoying noise. In the neighborhood you can find any service, the neighborhood market in Piazza Santo Spirito is very characteristic. All major monuments are just a few minutes walk away.

Very interesting apartment. Beaufuly incorporating the historic structure of the building with modern design. Good location in the city. Close to so many of the sites one wants to see. The only downside is the stairs one needs to traverse with your luggage, but it’s not a huge problem.
Went here for a 15th birthday, went to many cities in Italy but this apartment in Firenze was our favorite. No problems whatsoever, tall ceilings in the one room, which was really nice. So easy to walk to everything near by, great stay!!
Really, really cool apartment. Modern, yet artsy in a trendy location with restaurants and some shopping on the street. It was not congested or noisy. The apartment was comfortable and clean. This host was a professional and was extremely responsive, even to some of my dumb questions. Would stay again in a heartbeat!!
The location of this property is amazing. it was very clean but needed an interior paint job, lots of scuffing on the walls.Comforable beds and furniture. Lots of steps to get up to the apartment, make sure you don’t forget anything on your way out to explore the city. There is only one very thin towel per person and no extra linens. If you’re there during mosquito season bring bite cream as the apartment was swarming with them.

Good spot
The location was just across the river in a quieter and less expensive area, but still within walking distance of all major attractions. Apartment is on third floor, not second as noted in the listing. Downstairs entrance needs paint and there are lots of stairs! Beware of extra costs for more than two guests. This was not mentioned at booking and I assumed a two bed, two bathroom place would be natural for two couples. Apparently not. Overall, a decent place, but expensive for what you get.

What is not mentioned in the listing. No comment what do you think that the price for 2 is the same for 5???? Try to book an hotel for 2 or for 5 and see if the price is the same. Your feed back is not accepted you should insert the right number of guests to see the price if you don’t accept it why did you book my apt. No comment!!! You are not a good traveler!!!
Sophia Suite was located in an attractive area for nightlife and daily activities. The Via Santo Spirito location is very close to the bridge which leads to museums, Duomo, restaurants, and small shops. Our side of the river included a grocery store, artists' studios, small restaurants, and a very popular cocktail bar/restaurant right down the street. We had no problem with walking or security.
The apartment is several flights up on the second (third) floor, so be prepared to carry your luggage up. Two bedrooms and two modern bathrooms, plus a lovely kitchen and eating area were nicely decorated and provided plenty of storage for a week's worth of clothing. There were two sofas for extra sleeping; one in the loft area with the washer/dryer, and the other in the front living room.
David, the owner, made exceptional efforts to ensure our stay was comfortable and well-appointed. He was always available by text message. The manual on the premises was full of suggestions for dining, shopping, and tours.
We were all very satisfied with the price, quality of the accommodations, attention to detail, and pleasant neighborhood. We were honored to call ourselves the "Italian Sophias"!
The home was Infested w/tiger mosquitos. When we contacted the owner he gave us no solution but to wear big spray to bed. he was not very customer service oriented. The listing has it wrong for location and the amenities were terrible. Coffee pot didn’t work, not enough blankets, pillows or towels. He finally sent us some new towels. The kitchen had no paper towels. We only had one roll of toilet paper per bathroom (3 adult women and a Male staying for 6 days). Mosquito bites sent my daughter to the ER where she had to have antibiotics and a cortisone shot. They attack at night In your sleep. We have pictures and ER bill for proof. The owner made our stay terrible and he needs a lesson in VRBO hospitality.
