Cute and clean. Description could mention the grill is charcoal and you need to bring your own charcoal, lighter fluid, etc.

Kevin, thank you for the review and we enjoyed having you. I would like to point out that the listing does state, charcoal grill. You're welcome back anytime and we look forward to having you.
Lovely cottage! We made a pit stop on our way home from traveling to see Mammoth Cave National Park. Everything was super clean and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the spa like experience in the bathroom. The lighting throughout has so much character. This place is well loved and it shows! Just minutes from the park. Host provided very clear information regarding booking and everything in the place (light switches, door locks, etc..) is marked clearly to avoid any confusion. We brought our dogs too. :). Highly recommend!
We had a great stay here for a few days visiting Mammoth Cave and the surrounding area. The location will be much more convenient to the park when the ferry reopens, but we still found it easy to get around and felt safe in the community. The cabin is laid out well for a family to stay, and has nice features for kids. Our preschooler loved the kids nook and some of the books and games there. All the beds were extremely comfortable. The bathtub was a standout feature. We had most of what we needed to cook a couple meals at the cabin, there are a few convenience stores nearby to get what was missing, and we also enjoyed some local places to eat.The owners have clearly put a lot of effort into making this place updated, cozy, and welcoming! It's a great value option for visiting the area.

Thank you for pointing out all the great features and amenities of the place. With so many great things to say in your review and not one negative thing, it's quite confusing as to why you'd leave a 4 star. Your comments are definitely indicative of a 5 star, making this a head scratcher.
The reason we chose this unit is because the listing stated it was 15 minutes from Mammoth Cave National Park. This is not true. It is an hour drive to get to the visitors center, which you have no way of knowing until getting the address right before check in. The park property lines may be close, but the unit is on the opposite side of the parks entrance. This property is more spacious than I expected and VERY well cleaned. The chalkboard was cute and the bathroom had updated fixtures. The kitchen had enough for us to fix some quick meals. The AC is all window units but stayed sufficiently cool for our stay in May. However, I did not realize that another property owned by the renter was literally connected to this property by a set of outdoor stairs. It was very awkward to try to enjoy time outside with someone checked in beside us. The properties are side by side, including the outside areas with firepits. We had two kids and expected to be able to relax and let them be kids but it felt wrong to let them play as we were so close and didn’t want to disturb the neighbors. The unit itself had some strange flaws that were just uncomfortable (some of the doors didn’t open without being stuck on the floors due to bowing, the living room TV had no volume control and stayed on full blast, there was exposed plywood in a few areas).
We enjoyed our stay. It is a great value. TJ was friendly and informative and quick to respond when we reached out. Kitchen supplies are basic due to storage space, however, it is easily fixed if you plan accordingly.

Cheryl, thank to for staying. We look forward to having you back.
Loved the place! It was more like an hour from mammoth cave compared to what previous reviwes said, but we found it a good location if you're also going to explore hidden river cave and the Jesse James stables/outlaw cave. The host was very responsive and helpful and the cabin had everything we needed for a couple nights.

The home is very comfortable and has what you need to enjoy your stay. We spent our days exploring Mammoth National Park, the Diamond Caverns, the Corvette Museum and Churchill Downs. All of these visits are a must. TJ is a great host and ensured we had what was needed prior to our arrival.

Everything was perfect. Excellent and fast communication with the host whenever we had any questions. Outstanding location (local coffee spot was a hidden gem.) I would recommend this place to anyone. Take a drive in any direction and the sights are nothing short of beautiful.

Everything was just perfect!! Very clean and cozy cottage..... Beds were great, sofa and other furniture was comfortable. Cute nook where kids played. We had everything we needed in the kitchen with the exception of any kitchen trash bags. We filled the first one up couldn't find any extras. Outdoor space was nice.

Guest was a sweet lady, but very dependent. I was more than happy to help and immediately addressed all of her needs. Starting with, giving her directions over the phone, because she couldn't find the place. Then I assisted with the electronic door lock combination over the phone. Next, she couldn't figure out the TV. I immediately sent someone over to help get it going. Then, she didn't know how to turn on the heater. This was also quickly addressed. Lastly, the guest overloaded the kitchen plugs and tripped the breaker. She couldn't figure out how to flip the breaker switch in breaker box. So I again paid maintenance to come a second time, to flip the breaker. I'm totally fine with doing these things, but it's quite disappointing when you help someone as much as I did, only to get a bad review. Other hosts beware.
We had a great time and the home was super cute and centrally located. We loved our time there.
