About this property

All Brand New, Right at base of Cottonwood Canyons! Private 2 bed/1bath basement

Welcome Home to a private, newly remodeled, 2 bed/1 bath, private walkout basement apartment with a full sized kitchen and a fenced in backyard right at the base of the mountains. Our neighborhood is on a quiet residential street up in Cottonwood Heights, minutes from I-215, major hospitals, Fort Union blvd (which has everything you need), and extremely quick and easy access to the mouth of Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons.

There are two private bedrooms both with queen beds, full closets with hangers/laundry basket, and one with an additional full sized dresser. Both of the bedrooms have blackout curtains for the night owls or those who work night shift. Each bedroom has high quality sheets, pillows, comforters, and spare sheets. An extra quilt is provided.

The bathroom has four large/soft towels, 2 washcloths, 2 soft hand towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tooth brush, and toothpaste so you can get settled from the moment you walk in the door.

The brand new kitchen is very spacious with plenty of granite countertop space, and all new stainless steel appliances which are full sized (including the fridge with ice/water dispenser). Appliances include microwave, range, Keurig and coffee pot, dishwasher, full sized sink, cabinet space, and a pantry cabinet. The kitchen will also be stocked with all cooking essentials/utensils (including spices/condiments), and dish soap.
Our guests enjoy their own private laundry room with washer and dryer. Laundry detergent provided!

Dining room is set up with a table and chairs right off of the kitchen.
Very comfy Living Room area has a reclining couch and lounge chair, as well as a 55" smart roku tv with thousands of streaming apps and your favorite sport channels.

The three season porch functions as a private entrance and allows additional seating and storage space.
Additional cleaning supplies are stocked and available to tenant.

It's just the two of us upstairs (landlords) + our dog. We are both healthcare professionals, we enjoy getting outdoors, are quiet, and very respectful of our space and guests!

Great ski pad in Cottonwood

I can’t overstate how great of a location this is for skiing in Little and Big Cottonwood Canyon. It took us literally 20 minutes to get to the parking lot solitude, and snowbird couldn’t have been more than 30. Clean property, although a bit chilly at night. Host was very helpful during our stay!

We are both transplants but have lived in Utah for 6 years now with our 4 year old adopted dog named Cali. We moved here because we love the mountains and everything they have to offer. We are both easy going and enjoy snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, playing volleyball, traveling, and camping. We both have traveled for clinical rotations and were renters for many years ourselves, we know the importance of mutual respect and communication between landlord/tenants. Our goal is to provide the best experience possible for you during your stay!

Why they chose this property

We recently purchased this property because we used to rent a basement in this area and absolutely loved it! We loved it because of how close it is to the mountains and how amazing this part of the valley is. We remodeled the entire basement outfitted with a brand new kitchen that reminded us of the luxurious space we had rented previously. We had such a good experience in that setting that we wanted to re-create it for others as well. This spot is a completely private apartment situated 5 minutes from the mouth of the canyon. There also are some really cool bars/restaurants just around the corner!

What makes this property unique

Extremely close to the mountains, and also very close to the interstate so any location is a very easy commute.
