About this property
Unique Tiny House Studio [With Chickens] Near I-95, FDA, DC, VA
Built initially as a second house and in-law studio, this Tiny House is truly one of a kind.
It sits in the backyard of the main home, which is occupied by a family of 5, a cat, and 5 chickens. Yes we have chickens!
It is unattached from the main house but the backyard is a shared space. However, the Tiny House has a private fenced-in backyard.
We welcome friendly guests only. If you don't like people or animals, this is NOT the space for you.
The Tiny House Studio is an unattached house in the backyard of the main home.
The space is equipped with:
1. Kitchen
2. Bathroom (bathtub)
3. Laundry room
4. Bedroom (studio space)
5. Loft storage area (not a lounge area)
6. Hardwood flooring (kitchen and bedroom)
7. Radiant flooring (bathroom and laundry room)
8. AC/Heat - 2 Ductless Heat Pumps
9. Water Heater (please bear in mind the water gets hot but not as hot as a traditional water heater)
We also do not recommend this space for young children due to safety concerns with the sliding library ladder. However, if you are a parent/guardian of small children, we WILL remove the ladder during your stay. Sorry, no exceptions.
Please keep in mind, we have children, a shy cat, and five chickens (hens), that occupy the backyard. We have small gathering and cookouts from time-to-time and will invite you. You are welcome to join us if you're able and feel comfortable.
We welcome you to our Tiny House Studio with basic essentials upon your arrival. You will be responsible for replenishing these items. We provide only 1 per item. This includes:
1. Toilet paper
2. Paper towel
3. Trash bags
4. Hand and body soap
5. Dish soap
These items are available for you to wash and reuse at your convenience:
x1 Bed sheet set
x4 pillows
x2 comforters
x4 Towels
x2 hand towels
x4 wash clothes
Parking: ONE space is available on the drive and there is free street parking.

• Caribbean Market - 2.2 miles
• International Grocery - 1.4 miles
And several others.

DC Metro Area:
Baltimore - 30.3 miles
Washington DC - 4.1 miles

Other things to note:
Although the Tiny House Studio is built larger than a traditional tiny house, it is truly meant for a single person or a couple. We love to interact with our guests but we will engage with you on the level of your preference.
Regardless, please keep in mind that only friendly, non-confrontational visitors are welcome here. If you don't like children, animals, or friendly interacting, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU.
We want this to be a great experience for everyone. Thanks for your understanding.

About the host
Hosted by Alyscia
We're from the Caribbean Islands of Trinidad and Tobago and St. Lucia. We love good food and good company. Being in the outdoors with our family is one of our favorite things to do. We really enjoy meeting new people and hosting.
Why they chose this property
We live in a world with different types of people. It was important that our neighborhood was reflective of that. The diversity in our neighborhood is one of reasons we chose it and what we enjoy most.
What makes this property unique
It was built by us :)
We also have a garden, and our pets, a cat and five chickens, that roam the backyard. Although we're in the suburbs, we try to add a touch of country to our living.
