Fully renovated, private executive basement suite in Tenleytown, DC near American University! The perfect family-friendly restful escape. Two short blocks from Tenleytown Metro train/bus, AU Shuttle, Whole Foods, restaurants, shopping. Parks, Trader Joe's, Wegmans nearby. Very easy to get to all DC area attractions - museums, cherry blossoms, Georgetown, and Great Falls.

Modern features, private entrance, and dedicated workspace. Ample parking. Safe, quiet neighborhood to recharge. Family lives above, so please expect infrequent, quiet noises. No parties. Only relaxing.

Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Bag bathroom and kitchen trash; Recycle doesn't have to be bagged. Place trash bags in the large green trashcans and empty recycle in the large blue trashcans at the alley boardwalk.
Hang towels on hooks and leave bed linens on the bed.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Quiet hours are from 9pm - 7am. Not library quiet, but please keep the noise down.
Please treat the interior and exterior of the house with care and respect. Any damage or excessive cleaning will be billed to the guest.
Additional overnights guests or large gatherings are not allowed.

A well located, small basement apartment, good for those who want suburban DC or an easy one-line metro commute to the sights. The apartment was quite clean, well decorated.

This is a comfortable, clean and spacious home. There were many extras provided (snacks, water, toiletries and a luxurious bath robe) that were greatly appreciated. There was a minor miscommunication but it was resolved almost immediately and without any issue. Highly recommend.

This is a wonderful property that is well appointed with everything you may need. The host (Nadiya) quickly replies to any questions. I felt very safe walking to and from the train station. Lovely neighborhood! Would not hesitate to book again!

You can explore museums, restaurants, and neighborhoods across DC, then come back to a place that feels calm and welcoming.

We designed this suite with travelers in mind, adding the small touches we appreciate ourselves: space to relax, a stocked kitchen, and thoughtful supplies. It has its own entrance, private HVAC with clean air and temperature control, plus a few tech upgrades that make settling in easy and comfortable.
