The perfect home base for a Chautauqua Wedding bridal party, local wine tours, Lake Chautauqua fishing expeditions, and all of your other Chautauqua Adventures.

Gorgeous Getaway

The family had an amazing stay at the Aldine Bowman suite. We enjoyed the extremely short walk down to the bell tower where we took in great views of the lake while the kids enjoyed the beach and playground. Fantastic stay!

Great location

We really enjoyed our weekend enjoying the great atmosphere and weather. Unit was in a great location to enjoy many different events. In season starts next weekend so many more rest will be open.

Quaint location

We enjoyed our stay at this location. Beautiful setting on the lake. Being an older property, the bathrooms and bedrooms are small. The kitchen and living area were adequate for four adults.

Sanctuary within a sanctuary

We really enjoyed our week at this Chautauqua Institution apartment. Very comfortable and clean. Perfect location in the center of everything, yet still on a quiet street. Excellent host. We hope to stay again next year.

Fantastic stay at The Aldine Bowman Suite in Chautauqua!

The host was awesome, and very responsive to our texts. The condo was spotless and very well equipped with amenities and then some. (Both coffee pot/keurig, etc.) The beds were comfortable, and the location was fantastic! Beautiful views of the Lake and The Athenaeum Hotel. Plenty of room for a family of 4 or more. We can’t wait to return!

A Gem

I’ve rented many properties in Chautauqua over the years, and this was one of my favorites. It is in an historic older building, with a beautiful partial view of the lake from its large front porch, and only a few minutes walk from Bestor Plaza, the Amphitheater, and many of the venues where talks are held during the season. Like all old buildings in Chautauqua, it had some quirks. But the updates that have been made are very nice. The kitchen was well-equipped and spacious, the living area attractive, with a dining room table that would easily seat 6. The bed I used was quite comfortable, with a semi-firm mattress and lots of pillow choices. Communication with Heidi, the owner, was excellent. I’m not sure I would stay there during the season because it has no parking spot. I’d be torn, though, because it is such a nice place and so conveniently located. Off-season you can easily park near by. This visit was off-season, and I don’t think I could have found a more perfect place. Thank you Heidi and Charlie for that little spot of paradise.
