The king bed in the upstairs bedroom was very comfortable. We did not use much of the kitchen utensils, etc, but there was just about anything you might need available for use. Towels were soft and large. All spaces were clean and free of pests. For those who appreciate fine woodworking, the paneled walls were stunning and wood trim true to the craftsman style.

Happy Second Visit

After a great first visit last summer, we returned this year for Week 7 of the Chautauqua summer institute and had another wonderful week staying in this beautiful, comfortable, and peaceful house. Labor Day lake trip

The house was amazing! Beautiful, comfortable, super clean. We loved it! Perfect location, we went to nearby wineries (loved Johnson Estate winery) and Lake Erie. Highly recommend this house!

Great Custom Home near CHQ

We loved this spacious, well appointed, and well equipped custom home. The location is ideal, particularly for pursuing activities at CHQ. The wooded setting is lush and peaceful, with the exception of some road noise when the windows are open.

Perfect stay for a week at Chautauqua

This home is lovely, spacious, well-equipped, and confortable. It was a perfect place for us during our week at Chautauqua. It is just outside the Chautauqua grounds, which we accessed following a lovely path from the house to Chautauqua’s Elm Gate. We made frequent use of the two wonderful porches and enjoyed cooking in the well-supplied and roomy kitchen. Couldn’t have been happier!

The owners have a lovely home and take great care of it. They were excellent hosts. They addressed every detail. Well-furnished, stocked kitchen, great beds, sheets, towels and hand towels were highest quality. So many nice features. Thank you.

Two weeks in Chautauqua

The property is very nice and a pleasant place to stay. The only small issue is the road noise at night. Beautiful, well-kept, spacious, and easy to be comfortable in. Ut exceeded our expectations. Kim was very gracious and went out of her way to meet our needs.

Beautiful Home

We had a wonderful time and this home is perfect for attending Chautauqua! Large, beautifully appointed home, loved the porches and kitchen, comfortable beds. Be prepared for highway noise and a lot of stairs - 2 flights to get up to the house and 2 more flights to get to all but 1 bedroom. Host attended to a lot of details to make guests comfortable- thank you!

Beautiful house!

We loved the house. So many amenities and it was quite beautiful. Both the front and the back porches were enormous and we spent a lot of time there. Unfortunately all of the bedrooms face a busy street and we heard traffic a lot. Probably a 10 minute walk to CHQ and the lake. Otherwise perfect.

Great location, nice layout, well equipped

The week was humid and the new AC worked well to get the humidity out of the house. It was well equipped. We cooked in the kitchen or used the gas grill 5 of the nights. All were clean and they had a corkscrew all the kitchen tools needed for a variety of cooking.

Lovely Experience

The home was beautiful and well-appointed. It is located just off a major road, yet in a woodsy area--the best of both worlds. Also within a short drive from Chautauqua. The kitchen was also well-appointed. Parking was good. You enter the home through the garage, and take stairs to the first floor of the house. Bedrooms are nice, gas fireplace is great, everything very comfortable. We were at Chautauqua so I did not see the host, but she was very accessible and accommodating.

Spectacular Once Again!

This was our second year staying in this unique Arts & Crafts style home and once again we had a wonderful experience. The addition of air conditioning was a bonus this year, although the weather was so nice we hardly even needed it! The home is well-appointed, including everything we needed. This location provides an easy walk to Chautauqua and even offered lakefront access which was wonderful for kayaking and peaceful sunset viewing. We highly recommend this location for others and look forward to returning again next year! Thank you Kim! We greatly appreciate all that you did to make our stay so enjoyable!

Craftsman paradise

Beautifully constructed Craftsman home, very private. Three large bedrooms (1 king/2 queens) with we'll equipped kitchen and huge dining table has plenty of room for 3 couples to spread out. Swim dock is short walk down a private road, bicycle paths, shops and wineries a short drive away. We had a wonderful time sitting on the front porch with a glass of wine, very relaxing. Owner was very accommodating and friendly. Traffic from the main road can be a bit noisy at certain times of the day, but we didn't notice after the first day.
