3 Bedroom Cottage on the Shores of Chautauqua Lake

Welcome to Cody’s Cottage.
This newly remodeled 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath cottage is located on the shores of Chautauqua Lake. The Cottage is located in an ideal lakefront location close to everything you will need. With beautiful views, you will be able to enjoy property amenities such as the enclosed lakefront porch, outdoor seating, picnic table and grill, private dock and fire pit. For your use at the cottage you will also find fishing poles, board games, books and magazines for rainy weather or those who prefer to stay in.
The cottage is within walking distance of restaurants, grocery and convenience stores, Big Tree Ice Cream Parlor, Smith Boys Marina, Lakewood cinema 8, miniature golf, tennis courts, basketball field, playground, and more! You can also take a short (20 minute or less) drive to the historic Bemus Point Area, Chautauqua Institution, Summer Wind Lake Cruises, National Comedy Center, Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum, Lucille Ball's hometown and burial plot, Southern Tier Brewery, Chautauqua Mall, Laundry, Numerous Chain Restaurants, Wegmans and so much more.
The Cottage comes fully equipped with bed linens, towels, basic kitchen appliances and dishes. The three bedrooms are all located on the second floor and consist of a lake view bedroom with a queen size bed, and two smaller bedrooms, one with a full-size bed and one with bunk beds. There is a half bath on the second floor and full bath with shower on the first floor.
Please note that we do have off season availability for snowmobilers and ice fisherman, the dock is not available during off season rentals, October to May.

This was a nice place to stay. Clean. Located close to shopping and places to go. We like Bemus Point and we always go there to hang out. There are several wineries about half an hour away. You should know that this end of the lake has an ongoing issue with significant algae blooms. We were unable to get in the water. Locals say this isn’t all the time but it’s common. Obviously not the hosts fault but it’s something to know. We’ve stayed on the other end of the lake and not experienced this problem.

Such a cute cottage with a beautiful view! We really enjoyed our stay and loved sitting in the backyard watching the sunset, feeding the ducks, sitting by the fire and listening to the calming sounds of the lake. I definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.

We had an excellent 3 nite stay at Codys’ Cottage. Could not beat the waterfront yard, expansive dock, great restaurants & especially the Ice cream stop right across the street! Lots of shopping in the small towns surrounding the area. Farmers Markets on weekends. Games for the kids & a mini kids play kitchen on enclosed porch just perfect! Even casinos just a short drive away. The only drawback was a small steep staircase to upstairs bedrooms. One larger member of our party sleept on couch. Would not recommend for seniors with any mobility issues. Upstairs bathroom also was not suitable for him, too small. But ideal for families with children. I loved the whole experience.

Liked the location on the lake. Easy to visit the other towns. Steps to the 2nd floor were a little steep for 3 70+ year olds but we managed. Owners were very accommodating and timely communication.

Peaceful Mornings on the Water

Codys Cottage has been in our family for several generations. Originally purchased by William "Cody" and his wife, Gladys. The house is now owned by two of Cody's Grandchildren, both of whom live locally and hope to keep the property in the family for many more generations to enjoy. You will find the house decorated with memorabilia and photos from Cody and Gladys years at the cottage.
