Private Blue Ridge Mountain Retreat/ Modern home immersed in natural beauty!

Come stay in our cozy, open, airy, architect remodeled mountain retreat steps from the the Three Ridges Wilderness Area in Nelson County. The home is situated within a gently sloped open field surrounded by forest. Listen to the warblers in the morning and the barred owls at night, watch the firefly show from the patio, the stars from the field. Expansive windows in the open living/kitchen/dining area let the interior feel always connected to the outside.

Our home offers an ideally situated location where you are both surrounded by nature and an easy 15-20 drive to stellar wineries, breweries, restaurants and groceries. Travelers venture from all over to appreciate the breathtaking hiking and biking reached within minutes from the house. A short walk leads to an excellent rock climbing area at Love Gap, .3 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway, 15-20 minutes to Nellysford or Waynesboro. 10 minute drive to Lake Sherando Recreation Area and 15 minutes to Wintergreen Resort.

The house is set up well for hosting two families, with two queen bedrooms and two kid's rooms, or to be able to host a small group comfortably.

SLEEPING SPACE

The main house has 4 bedrooms:

Bedroom 1: Queen Bed
Bedroom 2: Queen Bed
Bedroom 3: 1 Twin Bed, 1 Twin Bunkbed
Bedroom 4: 1 Twin Bed with pull-out Twin Trundle

Additionally, we have a folding queen foam mattress and pack n play available.

KITCHEN

We love cooking, so our kitchen is well equipped and a joy to use. It is full kitchen with six burner gas stove, plenty of pots, pans, mixing bowls, cookie sheets, etc. We provide coffee, tea, olive oil, salt and pepper. We have a stocked pantry primarily for our use, but don't want you to have to make a special trip into town for something we already have. If you find something you need, feel free to use it and either replace it/leave us a little cash for the what you used and let us know if we should bring more up.

BATH
There are two full bathrooms. Upstairs, the bathroom has a tub/shower and downstairs is an extra-tall, freshly tiled alcove with a rainshower. The downstairs bath is designed with a separate toilet room to accommodate larger groups.

Pets
We love animals and understand that you want to bring yours with you, but are also aware of the impact that animals have on a house. To help accommodate your pet we are willing to consider dogs for a $35/night pet fee, depending on the length of stay. Please inquire about specifics as we'd like to learn more about your dogs and whether they are a good fit for our home. Dogs must stay off the furniture.
