Welcome to Wind in the Willows! Inspired by nature with a bit of garden flare, this spacious cottage is the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with friends and family.

Wind in the Willows Cottage is located on the outskirts of Meadville, near Tamarack Lake. Guests can enjoy a slice of nature while still being just minutes from town. The cottage features a back patio with a table and chairs as well as a fire pit. A small creek, shaded by a stand of native willows, attracts wildlife. The patio is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee and watch the sunrise.

Stepping inside, you will find a spacious living room and a bright, airy kitchen.

The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, a traditional coffee maker, a Fench press, toaster oven, and various baking dishes. If you prefer dining out, there are 5 star restaurants just minutes away!

On the main floor there are three bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a laundry room. Upstairs you’ll find an additional bedroom & bathroom. All of the bedrooms feature queen beds, with the exception of one room which holds two twin beds. If additional sleeping space is needed, the sage couch can transform into a full sofa bed.

In the morning, warm sunlight streams through most of the windows, illuminating the cottage. For your convenience, blackout shades have been installed throughout.

Clean spacious comfortable house

We had a nice family visit in this clean, spacious comfortable house. It’s kid friendly with a nice little toy collection. The large upstairs bedroom and bathroom are good for parents with a small child. The owners even had the pack n play all set up for us.

Beautiful retreat!

This was a perfect place to stay for us! Beautiful house and setting, lots of space for what we needed and great location to attend Allegheny College events. Kaitlyn was a gem to work with, always gracious and easily answered questions I had. Easy check in and check out, too. This was a great space for us to relax as a family and celebrate our daughter’s graduation from college.

Wind in the Willows Cottage October 2024

Had a very enjoyable stay at the Wind in the Willows Cottage in October of 2024. The place was clean and comfortable. Location is just outside of town in a very quite, semi rural setting with a lake and marsh in the backyard. This made for beautiful sunrises for early risers.

Perfect spot

Fantastic home for a weekend or longer. Has everything you need and plenty of space. Very comfortable and conveniently located while not being in a super busy area. Overall rating was 4 stars because one bedroom was quite chilly (I couldn’t find the air vent to open it, if there was one) and the furnace is loud when it kicks on. We recommended this house to our family for our niece’s college graduation- definitely would stay there again!

2024 Family Reunion Week

The house worked very well for us. The hosts were great. The house needs hand rail to second floor and out to patio. As my group was mostly over 60, safety bar in tub would be helpful. House worked great for our family gathering.

Great for the weekend wedding!

We had a wedding in the area and this was a great place to visit with friends. We brought snacks & cocktails to have with our friends and it was very relaxing. Very responsive property manger. We had an issue with the grill and it was fixed quickly so we could grill our dinner as planned. Only negative was the drive at night was a little rough not knowing the area. We would recommend!

This was such a lovely home to stay in with my family! We saw loads of wildlife - deer, woodchucks, bunnies, even a snapping turtle laying eggs! Kaitlyn and Adam were very accommodating to us and our needs with an 18 month old. They were able to provide a pack n play, high chair, toys, and a baby gate to block the stairs. There was one minor issue with one of the toilet tanks not filling and Adam was to the house within 30 minutes to fix it, no issues after. We will definitely be booking again on our next trip to the area!

Wedding weekend in Meadville

Our son was getting married just up the road at the Harper Event Venue. The house was conveniently close. Also just a quick ride from downtown and VooDoo brewing where we had the rehearsal dinner and wedding after party. Well stocked with the standard necessities. Beds and bedrooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. Communication was quick and convenient. No complaints.
