Canal front home in a gated resort community. There is a $125 resort fee and parking for one vehicle at the property. There is limitted additional first come first serve vehicle or trailer parking at $5 per night vehicle, $10 per night trailer. These fees are separate from VRBO. The property has a large screened in porch. Two bedrooms one king with private bath. One Queen with full bath in the hall. Sleeps 4 comfortably + a queen sleeper sofa if needed in the living room. We need to update pictures of the interior It's freshly painted and new washer and dryer. we will up date soon. Freshly updated deck furniture, bait freezer on porch Docking post and fish cleaning table on a spacious deck and 64' seawall. Direct access to the Atlantic and Gulf. Pamper yourself and your boat. Community amenities including boat ramp ,marina with pressurewasher to clean your boat, pool, hot tub, tennis and pickle ball, Bochy ball, shuffle board, Saturday morning, pancake breakfast in the winter

The host had great communication and was quick to respond anytime we had questions!The only part we were disappointed about was the 125 association fee that we didn’t know about until the welcome letter was sent with instructions. It would be nice to have that on the original listing.

Fully furnished house with the perks of having a dedicated freezer for ice and bait on the porch, wash down hoses by the boat, built-in rubber bumpers at the dock, and a calm canal for safe docking of your boat even during windy, unfishable days.The community is a joy as well! With occasional community events, a hot tub with jets, pool, along with tiki huts by the big water sea wall to watch boats come and go all day near their community marina.Boat trailer parking is 10 per day, but they have a pressure washer, flushing hoses, and a fishing cleaning station as well! Resort fee was 125, both to be paid in cash when checking in.Lots of cool spots to check out within 20-30 by boat only and this location set us up for fishing and family activities very nicely. 100% would recommend and would stay here again.

What a great place ! Owner was responsive. The house was much bigger than I thought and very clean. All the appliances worked great. Beds very comfortable. Unbelievable views right off the back porch on the water. Big screened in porch The resort had a huge salt water heated pool. Location was perfect and close to key west. Look up nightly specials at places close by. Boondocks was fun and has family night in Wednesday with free mini golf. Resort was very quiet and secure. Did not hurt that we had perfect weather. We are definitely going back ! There was 1 fishing pole and a deep freeze with bait already stocked. No bikes or kayaks at this rental. Everything you need to cook with tons of spices oils etc. just had all those little extras that made the stay perfect

Sun Bake is the perfect homebase for all your Lower Keys fun! Ample sea wall for boat dockage, amazing screen porch and comfy adirondacks on the sea wall. Kim and I started working with vacation rentals in 2003, in Chincoteague Virginia. In 2016 we added another property in Nags Head North Carolina. Linda Sue, named after my wife's late sister. In 2021 we sold the Chincoteague property and started looking for something in the Keys. When we visited Venture Out we knew this was it. We purchased Sponge Cake on March 1, 2023. Immediately started updating to make it as comfortable as possible for our guest. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We selected Venture out because of the flexible rental opportunities and the great access to the Atlantic and the Gulf. When we first looked at 127 we knew the 64' sea wall was a unique opportunity. We will continue to update the property to benefit our guest. If you check the reviews on Linda Sue (VRBO 883064) you will see our commitment to our guest. We intend to have the same type of reviews with Sponge Cake.

What makes this property unique

Thew most unique thing about Sponge Cake is the large screened deck and the 64' Sea Wall. We are working on adding manufactured, dock fenders soon. We demolished the crumbling fish cleaning station and are replacing it with a new Cleaning station. We will be adding other things as we settle in. We will be looking for your input on what we can do to make it the best it can be.
