About this property

Rustic, yet Upgraded Cabin on Stunning, Level Lakefront Lot with LONG Lake Views

One of the best lots with some of the best views on the whole lake! Lots of room to roam and play in the spacious yard, or just relax on the expansive deck while enjoying the views of the lake. Renovated but Rustic cabin style house, with multiple living spaces. Wonderful Lake views from the kitchen, the main living area or from the family room! Enjoy features such as the retro appliances, concrete counters, frosted glass barn doors, ~1000 sq foot trex deck, two fire pit areas, metal roof, fun sleeping loft (this has a knee wall but is not enclosed) w/ 4 twin beds and more! There are a lot of upgrades, but also there are some quirks- some of the countertops are slightly different heights- the floors are "plywood hardwood" that were painted white (they will look dirty)- there are a couple of cracked windows- you may have to pull the sprayer down to get better water pressure in the kitchen sink- a section of the deck boards has popped up at one edge- there is a lot of iron in the water (we suggest bottled water, and avoid washing whites)- there is not AC (rarely is it needed)- there is not heat in the main room (just the bedrooms, family room and bathrooms) so if it is chilly outside have sweatshirts handy- sometimes the living room ceiling fan is a little tricky- the loft ladder is not suitable for very little ones- the loft has a knee wall but is not enclosed (noise travels)- the frosted glass barn doors to the 2 bedrooms do not lock, and if you are naked and stand very close to the door YES someone will see you- If you think these type of things would ruin your stay, please do not book with us! If you want a great house that can sleep up to 10, with a hot tub, stunning views, HUGE deck and yard, your dog(s) is part of the family, and want some of the best outdoor space on the lake, well then welcome to our home!

We had a fantastic experience. Everything was as described in the listing. The property was beautiful and our dog loved having the water so close and the big yard to run around. The hot tub was clean and the bed was comfortable. We rented a boat and it was easy to tie up on the side of the dock. We would definitely recommend and will be staying here again in the future.

The location of property from state boat launch is great. The location to various favorite fishing spots was great. The pitch of yard was reasonably easy. Accommodations lacking only in mattress comfort of one room and wifi only worked in one specific spot close to kitchen island.

Cabin on the lake

The description about the property is spot on so read carefully. We loved our stay, the kids loved their time, our dog loved it. Nothing quite like having your morning coffee with that view while the kids play at the waters edge. Hidden gem in a great location.

Why they chose this property

THE LOT AND THE VIEWS. After looking at many homes with steep lots and many steps down to the water, we knew this was the right place before we ever stepped inside. We gutted and renovated the house with the vision of recreating my wife's grandparents hunting lodge in the Ozark foothills of Missouri. While it may not be for everyone, we believe that many will love the vibe that has been created!
