We were in the path of destruction for an incoming hurricane, we called to inquire about coming a day early to evacuate and Lori and Ralph were so accommodating!!! We got to the cabin a day early and were able to ride out the storm in style! We loved the peace and quiet with the backdrop of the lake. The kitchen was WELL equipped with everything you could imagine you’d need for cooking. The beds were comfy and there were nice fuzzy blankets everywhere. If we find ourselves out blue ridge way again, this is where we’ll be staying. Thanks again Ralph and Lori!!

The property is as advertised. The access to the lake and the dock is superb! Hosts were very responsive and helpful. If you want to enjoy lake access, it would be hard to find a more convenient option.

It was a beautiful place, peaceful and serene! The extra amenities were excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The views and the lake are great to look at on the deck, especially at sunset; get in at least one sunset! We would absolutely stay there again.

Fully equipped cabin for a fun and relaxing stay. Cards and games to play at night and our favorite was kayaking on the lake. I do wish they had one more adult kayak. Many spots to sit outside for conversations and eating.

The property was perfect for our family’s lake vacation. We enjoyed the kayaks and the kids swam in the lake’s clear water. We were able to catch some catfish from the dock and saw some big bass cruising the shallows by the house. The hot tub was a big hit. As others have noted, there are some steps down to the lake, but at least for us, they weren’t an issue at all. The sunset view in the evening was definitely photo-worthy.

This place was perfect for a quick getaway with lots of things to do. Blue Ridge is less than 20 minutes away. The spot on the lake is absolutely gorgeous with clean water and a cool area to kayak across the lake to a sandy spot. The kids loved to pretend it was an island they had to kayak to. I loved sitting on the top dock while my husband fished below. The hot tub was perfect watching the sunset go down. I can’t say enough good things about this place! We will be back.

This is really remote property surrounded by water and forest. We are a family of 5 and we spent our spring break at the home. The kids enjoyed having the kayaks available to paddle around the lake with. There is a bait and tackle store down the road where you can buy your fishing supplies if that is something you want to do. It is definitely a home that will allow you to unplug and enjoy nature for awhile.

The area was very quiet and peaceful while we were there. We thoroughly enjoyed the time that we spent outdoors (the screened-in porch, the outside dining tables, the hot tub and the boat house/dock). We even saw baby deer swimming in the lake over our morning coffee. The kitchen was well-stocked and the house was clean. We would love to stay again in the future.
