An elder's stay in St. Augustine
Bed in back bedroom sunk in the middle, furniture a little too soft for a 92-year-old. Great neighborhood, screen porch great and all conveniences were working. Great being away from downtown that was full of people and traffic was awful.
Wonderful to be within walkable distance to historic area
We loved our short stay in this roomy, clean bungalow that is on a quiet street, yet close enough to be a walkable distance from the historic downtown district. The house was lovely, very clean, and has a fenced yard for our elderly, blind and hard of hearing pooch to be safely outside enjoying the air. We have always stayed in a rental on St. Augustine Beach, but this was a wonderful change to be in the downtown area.
Adorable place with wonderful porch in charming neighborhood!
A well-decorated place with all of the modern comforts with a wonderful porch and location. The customer service by the property manager was also exceptional.
Great Dog accommodation at the center of everything! We hit the Fort/Beaches and had a very relaxing neighborhood to come back to. Loved the front porch & the fenced yard. Will be back next trip.
This is such a cozy and quiet little house. My favorite place was the screened in front porch with comfortable seats. There are plenty of places to hike just a short drive away. We walked downtown a few times, and then escaped the craziness back in the house. My only caution is that there are lots of dogs in the neighborhood, and if you have a big mouth dog, you need to watch them!havea vig mouth like i do
We truly enjoyed our stay at this house! Everything was well organized and neat. The property manager was readily available for any questions we had and we were treated with respect and professionalism! The fenced in yard was great for our dog to run around in and the location could not be beat!
Would definitely return if in the area again!
This has great space for an extended stay. The location is close to historic downtown and to Vilano beach. But the neighborhood is quiet so it’s nice to come back to peace and less crowds. Good communication.
Great little bungalow. 5 minutes to Vilano Beach and 15 minutes to St Augustine Beach. 5 minutes to old town St Augustine, fort etc.. Would recommend a stay for others. Lauren was very helpful from beginning to end. Thanks to her for making our stay a success.
Super cute updated/remodeled bungalow- kitchen is nicely stocked with lots of extras! Furniture and beds were very comfortable! The neighborhood and area is cute and quiet. Fenced in yard was nice for our dogs ( yard could use some TLC clean up) we definitely enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again!
The house is super cute and well situated in St. Augustine. There was a plumbing issue in the second bathroom at the end of our stay but the host was very responsive. My only complaint is that the description says the second bedroom has a full and a twin bed. But the second bedroom has only a full bed. The twin bed is actually the couch in the living space. Not what we expected, but we made it work and our daughter said it was very comfortable to sleep on. Otherwise, we were very happy with our stay. We would stay again.
Overall, I would recommend this home. It is nicely decorated and very comfortable. Location is just short drive to downtown. But, a few negatives. The master bathroom does not have a workable hot water handle at the sink. There was only one washcloth available for a 3 day stay. Discovered a bowl of ants in kitchen cabinets. These are things that I’m sure could be addressed.
We were in St Augustine for 4 nights/4 days. The cottage is in an older neighborhood with beautiful old trees and several very nice older homes. Inside the cottage was immaculately clean and nicely furnished. We didn’t cook but the kitchen was well stocked with everything you’d need if you wanted to cook. We only used one bedroom and the bed was comfy. It was very chilly when we were there but there was one warm day when we sat outside in the cute screened porch. The house is conveniently located to the historic downtown area and several restaurants. The landlord was easy to communicate with and very responsive. Highly recommended.
Super cute place and I’d stay again. But place was lacking in cleaning supplies not enough bath towels. Upon arrival from a long trip, I was ready to shower and rest. Was told by manager that house was ready for our arrival. Hot water heater was turned off, and I had a very cold shower! The porch where washer and dryer were located was covered in dirt and dust.

A lot of little things to be fixed
Location was great to Saint Augustine. Arriving in the dark with not one light on in the house made it very difficult to find and get inside. inside the house although nice there were a lot of little things that need attention, such as mold on the blinds and closet doors. in the shower. I had some sort of bug in my shower along with mold on grout. Master bathroom had no hot water in the sink., there was rotted window sills.
If I could permanently live at this property I would! The bungalow is just that, a 2 bedroom, 2 bath adorably quaint bungalow, with an open kitchen, working, dining and living area, with old school Florida porches off the front & back. The yard could use some tlc, but it is so hot right now it is understandable! I love this bungalow, yes, seriously, I love it! The front bathroom has a spa tub, and the second bedroom has the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on! The hardwood floors are beautiful and I really liked the layout of the kitchen. The bungalow had everything we could have needed & more. We loved eating dinner on the front porch & settling in to watch a movie on the big tv in the living room. When you stay here, please note, you must bring bug spray & anti-itch cream, as during the summer months the mosquitos will sweet talk you into feeding them! Easy access to the bungalow, driveway parking, gated yard, and a water kettle :) for my tea! Also, if you are like me, & you want to be protected... note the color of the ceiling on the front porch... This bungalow does not disappoint & we will be back soon! Thank you!
