About this property
Relax in Cinque Terre
The Blackberry Cottage (CIN: IT011015C2EOVLMTVX) is in a wonderful position on a hillside, about 450 ft above sea level, with a panoramic view of the Gulf of La Spezia, looking across to Lerici.
The dawn and sunrise are often a photographer’s dream !
The property is incorporated into an attractive terraced garden, entirely enclosed within stone walls. The situation is secluded without being isolated, as there are other houses out of sight at a lower level within 100 meters or so, with different access.
The cottage is surrounded by the green Mediterranean forest and it is connected to a network of walking paths, making it a perfect location for hiking-lovers.
The cottage is ideally located for those wanting to explore the neighborhoods: Cinque Terre, Portovenere, Lerici and Telaro are within easy reach by car. Portofino, Lucca, and Pisa are all about an hour away.
Pisa international airport, a Ryanair destination, is within an hour from the house.
The house sleeps up to eight – but two of the bedrooms have robust pine bunk beds, thus either suitable for one adult or two children in each room. These two rooms are on the first floor, where there is also a WC with hand basin. Both rooms have marvelous views over the Gulf. The master bedroom is on the ground floor, next to the bathroom (which was completely modernized for the 2006 season). This bedroom has definite charm and is another room with a fine view. It has a double bed. The final double bedroom is on the lower ground floor, with access to the garden via a French window.
The final room in the house incorporates, kitchen, dining area and a small sitting area next to an open fireplace. As has been mentioned, in summer (virtually) all meals are taken on the patio, so the lack of a proper sitting room is no drawback except when it rains. The kitchen area has been up-graded within the last three years
