Beautiful place. Host was super accommodating and the house was perfect for our visit to the island. Quiet and yet close to everything! Can't wait to visit again
Great property, with an amazing view! Lotsa of fun stuff around the area. “Seagull island” was fun for the kids to watch. The host was friendly and the swimming pond was a nice bonus!! Gonna be back next summer!
Diane and Mike were lovely hosts. We had the most fantastic time staying on Lopez! The house is comfortable. The views never get old. The eagles and seals and crabs are everywhere!
Beautiful, serene atmosphere that never gets old to see and experience. There's lots to do on the property itself but we also enjoyed going to the Farmer's Market and eating Diane's amazing clam chowder and buying a few of Mike's wooden boats! They are fabulous hosts!
We are fortunate enough to find Farmhouse as our place for a family retreat. What a wonderful place. Diane went above and beyond to make sure that we are enjoying our time there. It is an unique experience. Thank you.
Spectacular view property, very clean and well appointed. Comfortable stay and hosts are very responsive, coming immediately to fix an issue on check in. Would definitely stay again!
We loved our stay and made wonderful memories. The property is stunning! The house is darling and the hosts are quick to respond to any questions and very helpful!
We had a wonderful stay here, the beds were comfortable, the view was unmatched and we enjoyed using the BBQ and beach even in rainy weather. We look forward to returning!
Hands Down...10 stars. What a glorious experience we had at the farm house. Diane and Mike are amazing hosts... so welcoming, kind, and generous. We wished for nothing more. Thank You so very much for allowing us to visit your gorgous land. Jodee and Wayne

I could tell this amazing property is a cherished possession, and we loved it just as much! This was a perfect get away for our family of four. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. Amazing views and beach access. The picnic table on the deck was a great place to eat and enjoy the view. Honestly can’t say a negative thing about it!
Clean and expansive property. We spent almost the entire weekend at the house and the beach. There are so many fun activities and places to explore, including beach combing, watching the seals and birds from the house, and the family of 4 river otters hanging out at the beach. Hosts are very welcoming.
The farmhouse was such a special place to stay. Gorgeous view of the water and nearby islands with lots of windows to enjoy it. The house itself was cheery, cozy and spotless. Well stocked with everything you'd need and the Bumsteads were such nice hosts. Do yourself a favor and just book it - you'll love it!
Beautiful property. Perfect for a quiet vacation. Shares acreage with owners for convenience if any issues arise. Able to bike to town and explore the island with e-bikes. Beach front is magnificent with plenty of space to walk and find a quiet place to watch the world go by.
Beautiful location and view. House is very nicely remodeled and tastefully decorated. Water access area is terrific. Hosts are welcoming and helpful. WiFi is excellent, phone calls often don't work, texts do work. Suggestions: add small trash cans under kitchen sink and in each bedroom; label recycling and trash cans by washer; install wall hooks in small bedroom to hang wet stuff, towels, etc, in lieu of closet; add 4-plex thingys to electrical outlets in bedrooms to charge multiple devices at once. My family of 5 had a lovely time here. The house was clean and comfortable, the hosts very friendly and responsive. We loved the location. It was fun bbq’ing at the beach, kayaking, and roasting marshmallows over the fire pit by the beach. Our young children enjoyed the expansive outdoors, playing on the lawn, digging through sand and pebbles on the beach, and watching the ongoing battle of the bald eagle and seagulls on the little wildlife sanctuary island just off the coast. Highly recommend it!

About the host
Hosted by Diane Bumstead
The Bumstead family purchased this amazing property in 1946 and have enjoyed its beauty for these many years. We moved to Lopez Island permanently in 2020. We love showing and sharing our little slice of Heaven, and have had so many return again and again! Mike and Diane love participating in the Farmers Market each year where we sell hand made wooden ferry boats, sail boats and kayaks along with homemade clam chowder. We love our family which consists of 5 children, 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren! We are sure you will love this property as much as we do!!
Why they chose this property
This vacation rental is located on 33 acres with a wonderful beach, fire ring, and a large fresh water swimming area . Our favorite is the view. Seals on small Island, ferry boats making their journey from island to island. Eagles soaring, and all the sounds of nature. there is nothing to compare!!!
What makes this property unique
There are so many activities here. Hiking, kayaking (we rent them on property) a variety of beaches and areas to visit, biking, and enjoying the quaint Lopez Village with all it has to offer.
