Nicknamed "The Sandstone Capitol of the World," Amherst is known for its historic quarries & stone buildings. A short hop to the Cleveland Airport is about a 25-minute drive via I-480.

With over 2000 square feet of space, this modernized century home initially built in 1871 is part of the original Amherst settlement and is fully equipped to host you and your guests. The covered front porch offers privacy and shade for summer evenings outdoors. Step inside from the newly paved driveway to find a freshly remodeled foyer leading to the dining room. The completely redesigned and fully stocked chef's kitchen provides ample cabinet space and new countertops. Off the living room is a first floor full bath with a ceramic tile shower. There is also a washer and dryer in the pantry room on the first floor adjacent to the kitchen.

The second floor includes a large, expanded master bedroom and study. There are also two additional bedrooms with a completely remodeled and tiled full bath.

Guests will have full access to the house and grounds with the exception of the garage and shed. You can park more than two cars on the newly paved concrete driveway.

We are within a short 5 minute walk to all of the shops, restaurants, bars, historic movie theater and other amenities that downtown has to offer.

A really nice feature during your stay is that you will be within walking distance to most local establishments, a bespoke tailor, local photographer, health spa, gift shoppes, and boutique retailers. You will also be within a 10-minute drive to everything else including superstores like Meijer and Target, coffee shops like Starbucks, Biggby, and Panera Bread and anything else you may require during your stay.

This house is just 25 mins from the Cleveland International Airport and only a 10 minute drive to all of downtown Oberlin. We also have easy access to interstate I-90 which is only 4 minutes away as well as the I-80 turnpike which is just 5 minutes away.
