Home in Plains PA

Home was old, nice in size with plenty of space. Many of the amenities didnt work as advertized. Shades on bedrooms wore broken. Things were not taken care of in a timely fasion, and some things were never taken care of.I would not recommend this property

Great for getaway with a few minor complaints

Overall, the house was a great stay for our large family reunion. Very spacious with plenty of amenities such as a pool, theater room, and tennis court for play. The only issue we had was with the quality of the amenities. Many of parts of the house were broken or faulty, lots of creaking and concerning noises from fans and doors. Multiple toilets broke down and were out of use. The hot water was unreliable, and we didn’t have hot water the entire first day. There’s also quite a lot of bugs that get in the house, partially due to many of the doors not closing/locking properly. There was even a mouse in the house!!! All in all, we are very grateful and happy with our stay but we do think a few things can definitely be fixed. Thank you!
One of three bug bites my nephew got overnight!

2/10 Terrible

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy
Overall the maintenance of this house was extremely poor. I would not recommend it for families or those with young kids. It is probably great for a frat party as they will not care what you do to this home given that it is already mostly trashed. It was definitely not worth the price point.More than half of the days we did not have hot water. There was a rat in the kitchen on our second to last day. We trapped it. No one from their team came to dispose of it despite being told someone would come. The oven went out on our second day and we could not cook food other than on the stove. The hood in the kitchen did not function. High temperatures led to excessive smoke. There was no functioning AC in some parts of the house. Interior temps were above 95.House access was late.Pool was not usable for the majority of our stay.Extensive damage to blinds, walls and doors. Lots of bugs inside including in the bathrooms and areas far from windows. These included mosquitos and crawling bugs which should be treated for.Trash and broken furniture is casually disposed of at the back of the property leading to hazards for kids to play outside.Overall, I would not reocmmend this property.
