About this property
Skiers Delight! Park City Powderwood Condo. Access to EIGHT World Class Resorts!
Tastefully decorated one bedroom suite in reasonable proximity to EIGHT world class ski resorts. These are The Canyons (3 mi/5 min), Park City (6 mi/10 min), Deer Valley (9 mi/16 min), Snowbird (30 mi/41 min), Alta (36 mi/53 min), Solitude (37 mi/50 min), Brighton (38 mi/53 min) and Snow Basin (67 mi/1 hr 14 min).
Please note all of these resorts welcome snow boarders EXCEPT Alta and Deer Valley.
My condo has a reserved parking space under a carport. The parking is free and is essentially on the same level as the condo entrance. Specifically, there are two steps up from the parking lot level and the eight steps down to the front door of the condo. No steps are inside the condo and it is about 650 square feet in size.
There is a complimentary bus system run by Park City that can transport you to many destinations including Old Town Park City, Park City Mountain Resort, and Deer Vally Mountain Resort. The bus stop is about a 2 minute walk from the condo.
In the family room is a queen size sofa bed (new mattress 2014), armchair, coffee table, end table, floor lamp, table lamp, gas-fired fireplace, TV stand, DVD player, and a 40' flat-screen TV with HD Comcast digital starter cable.
The kitchen has as attached laundry room containing your private washer and electric dryer.
The kitchen is a full kitchen including an electric range, dishwasher, double sink with disposal, refrigerator with freezer, toaster, microwave, coffee-maker, pots and pans, glasses, dishes, and silverware.
The master bedroom contains a queen-size bed (new 2012), two end tables, two table lamps, dresser, desk, Comcast cable modem, Linksys wireless router for free Wi-Fi, TV stand, VCR, and a 21' CRT TV with Comcast basic cable.
Off of the master bedroom is the full bathroom and a large walk-in closet. The full bathroom contains a tub, shower, lavatory sink, and toilet. Please note that the only entrance to the bathroom is through the master bedroom.
The dining room contains a circular dining room table and four upholstered dining room chairs.
The air temperature is controlled by an easily accessible thermostat in the family room that controls a gas-fired forced air furnace. The hot water heater is also gas-fired.
On the level below the condo (fourteen steps down), is the tennis court, swimming pool (during the summer months only), and a clubhouse. The tennis court is available in the non-snow months. The swimming pool is available only during the summer months. I do not know if they heat the pool in the summer. The hot tub is located in an outdoor gazebo and is about a 2 minute walk from this condo.
The clubhouse is available year-round and contains a fitness center with various fitness machines, changing rooms and lockers, large fireplace, large projection-style TV, kitchen, and many spacious alcoves and adjoining rooms. I am not sure what one would use the clubhouse for unless you were with a big group and wanted a central meeting place. Or maybe, if the teenage kids wanted their own space away from their parents, they would congregate in the Clubhouse. In the winter months the Clubhouse closes at 7 PM.
Just down the street (1/3rd mile) but not in view from the condo, is a large outlet shopping center with the usual big name stores. Further down this same street (2/3rd's mile) is a shopping center containing a Super WalMart with an included grocery store.
Once you cross the main road in Kimball Junction (1 mile from condo) , there is a plethora of relatively new shopping centers, stores, and restaurants. Two of the shopping centers have theme based architecture. For example, one resembles an old mining town.
Old Park City is about six miles from the condo. I find that I am making that trip less and less because of all the amenities within one mile of my condo.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Thank you.

My son completed a full quarter of snowboarding while enrolled in online school. Best decision we ever made….as the property is ideal, the owners and property management were as helpful, timely and attentive as possible, and the location is just absolutely perfect.
Best winter location EVER!!
The condo is just like pictured. It’s very comfortable especially the bed. The location is good if you don’t want to be on a ski mountain. There is a bus stop 2 min from condo & everything you need is within 1 mile at Kimball Junction ( grocery stores, shopping & a great variety of restaurants)The owner is incredible at responding to any issue. I had a slight problem with the wi-fi & she responded in minutes & the issue was resolved. There was no hair dryer & the lock box definitely needs to be upgraded to a push button entry. Will stay again the next time I’m in PC
Condo is like the pictures but maintenance is terrible
The description of the condo is accurate, but at our second day the disposal stop working, it was impossible to get it fixed in our stay, the manager or owner refused to send someone to fix it with the strategy of asking to make test or delaying the answer. It was my first time in renting with this page that this happened. My recomendation is: If you have the faith nothing is going to be broken you can rent this condo. Whether somebody want I can send the seven email I sent asking to fix the disposal and the answers I got.

Disposal just needed to be reset by pushing button under the sink...which I asked the renter to do. Disposal works fine.
The condo was immaculate and the amenities and extras were well thought out. We loved the extras like the 4+ luggage racks, dishwasher detergent, coffee filters, etc. They made the stay easy! We left many similar items to aid the next guest too. The pictures don't do the condo justice--it is brighter and more spacious than expected. Thank you to the owners who were very gracious on check-in/out timing. The location is great and makes picking up dinner easy after a long day on any of the world-class ski resorts all just a short drive away.
This location was handy, near bus line. Purpose for stay was work teaching ski lessons at Canyons.
Kitchen was well stocked, appreciated having washer and dryer in my unit.
Owner had good communication.
The unit could use some updating.
However, very functional and appreciated the car ports.
Thank you.
Yes, I agree with some of the reviews that the property could use some updating but we found it to be comfortable, well-equipped, and convenient to get to Park City skiing (about a 10 min drive) and nearby restaurants and shopping. We didn’t want to stay in town since we weren’t going to eat out due to Covid, so this property offered good value. The living space was adequate but we greatly appreciated the large walk-in closet in the bedroom which allowed us to store away our luggage and ski apparel and not clutter up the bedroom or living room. The DVD player worked fine and the internet was good. Full size washer/dryer and well-equipped kitchen. We enjoyed our stay!

Uncomfortable
I was able to communicate with the owner directly but feel communication between owner and property needs help. The parking is numbered differently so we guessed on where to park. The apartment is small but cozy. The hot water started out black but after 30 minutes of running was clear again. The appliances are out dated but worked ok, dryer took a while but it did work. The linens were all rough like paper so we rewashed everything before using. We discovered the hot tub is a community hot tub for many buildings in the area so we didn't try it. The big downfalls were the bed and TVs. The TV in the bedroom didn't work and had a VCR, if you could find tapes it might have been ok. The bed was so hard we bought an air mattress and slept on the livingroom floor. We left two days earlier than planned.
This little condo actually provided more room for the 4 of us than we expected. Closet is so large that it comfortably fits a twin air mattress. It is a clean place to stay and would recommend without hesitation for the cost. Only drawbacks were that the living room TV is not smart or have USB ports and the dvd player doesn't recognize dual layer discs; however, full cable TV is provided.
The condo is nicely decorated and comfortable. The sofa/bed and love seat in the living room, bedroom furniture and dining furniture seem to have been recently replaced. The kitchen is well stocked and there is a good HD TV.
The only minor quirk is that the single bathroom is off of the bedroom so someone sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room has to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom at night.
There are stores and reasonably priced restaurants nearby and it is within 15 minutes from old-town Park City.
Good communications from VRBO as well as the owner.
A good stay!

Great place at a reasonable price
I reserved late in the game and was skeptical with this being the only reasonably priced property with the amenities I was looking for. However, was pleasantly surprised, as it was everything I had hoped for. Free covered parking was a nice amenity.

Great place!
The condo was the perfect place to stay during our 4 night stay near Park City. The condo had everything we needed. It's within ~15 minutes from "downtown" Park City and within ~40 minutes from Snowbird and Brighton/Solitude ski resorts. The heat worked great which was good because it was cold and so grateful to have covered parking spot. The only issue we had was the lockbox; it was extremely difficult to open and we tried to call the office within office hours but nobody picked up. Eventually we were able to open the lockbox but were not able to close it at the end of our stay. The lockbox is the only issue we had.

Nice, clean and comfortable
We enjoyed our stay. We were looking for the hot tub and believe it may be under all of the snow. That was our only disappointment. The advertisement for the condo lists that it has a hot tub. The condo was very comfortable, clean and nice.

Good location
Things That Could Help
- There are no instructions on how to connect to WIFI.
- There is no map of the Powderwood Complex to identify the hot tub and other structures.
- There are no instructions for playing the TV. When I first turned it on I was greeted with “No Signal” although I could see the cable box has a light on it. I eventually tried a the input button and fished around until I got a selection that worked.
- There are no instructions for the fireplace. I did it get to work once I found the correct switch.
Other Issues
- The refrigerator runs almost constantly. It does not appear to seal very well. We found it’s best to push near the bottom of the door.
- One more large pot would be a help.
- The switch for the right front burner is very difficult to turn on.
Pluses:
- The kitchen is well appointed with plates, glasses, and silverware. There is a reasonably good chef’s knife.
- The pots and skillets are good quality.
- The stove / oven work well and are easy to use.

Great place with everything you need
We stayed for 10 days during Sundance and loved it! The place was clean, cozy and had everything we needed. It's conveniently located 3 minutes from a bus stop that takes you to the Main street. Plenty of shopping and dining options around as well. Thank you, Carol! I didn't wanna leave:)

location was awesome!
location location location.. near everything you could ever want to do.. that said.. I was working remote and the wifi was veeerrrry slow. only 3.5mb download. needless to say I worked at Starbucks most of the time. if you are just vacationing then it will be fine. but having to work.. wasn't great. otherwise apt was good, clean, and had all the amenities you need. if only vacationing I would stay there again..

Perfect Place to lay your head
This condo was a perfect place to come home to after a long day of skiing. The property was clean and exactly as advertised. We manage to ski everyday and it was great to come home and sit in the complex's hot tub to rid ourselves of the aches and pains. If your looking for a affordable place to stay with easy access to any resort, then this is the place for you.

About the host
Your host
I fell in love with skiing when I introduced the sport to my young children.
Why they chose this property
I especially liked the proximity to the airport, i.e. 30 miles or 38 minutes. After a flight, I did not want a long drive to my accommodations. I also liked the free and convenient bus transportation throughout Park City and between the resorts. A personal car was nice but not necessary. Another factor was the ability to conveniently access a different ski and/or snowboard resort each day.
