We were in South Bend for a soccer game at Notre Dame Stadium (Celtic 4, Chelsea 1, C'mon the Hoops!).
The location is perfect for any event on campus. A short walk/Uber to the campus and food/entertainment.
The house is clean, the beds are comfy, and the host was very responsive and accommodating.

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
The furniture was extremely worn, with stains and ripped couches that felt more like thrift store, fines, and vacation rental quality. The photos online seemed heavily filtered and didn’t reflect the actual conditions of the home. Despite a 100 cleaning feed the house head cobwebs everywhere. The dust boards were dusty and the grout in the bathroom was black. The back deck was rotting. There was a grilled caked from years of use that still held some tortillas and half an onion. For the price we paid 1385 for four nights, I expected a much higher standard. This property may be better suited college students. I came with my family. We stayed because it was too late to find an alternative, but I wouldn’t book again unless significant improvements were made.
The kitchen is not stocked at all. Bought paper plates, plastic ware and roasting pan for Easter dinner.
Not safe for children. No door on steep basement stairs directly across from oven.
Owner did answer calls promptly about parking since sidewalk is ripped up.

Listing is deceiving
Listing looked good. But actual property did not meet expectations. Walked in to cobwebs in all corners of home inside. Dead bugs around kitchen window. Outside yard not maintained and atrocious. Back deck not trustworthy (wood falling apart, nails sticking up, stairs unsteady). Grass overgrown and lots of weeds. The neighbors all had nice well looking yard and curb appeal. Then there’s this house.
Kitchen barely stocked. Rusted pots and pans and baking sheet. Not even enuf pans to make a normal meal. Silverware had two forks. Just two. Minimal utensils. No strainers or storage containers. No seasoning , salt, pepper, cooking spray. Nada. There was old gross food in fridge yet when we checked in also.
Bath room was decent but no stopper to use as bath tub. Had sh/cond and body soap. We didn’t use as we bring our own. But at least they had some.
No dressers in room. Closet with a few (3-5) hangers.
Wish I had known only street parking. I did not like that as only option.
No welcome binder with information either. I’ve stayed at MANY VRBO location and by far this is the worse ever. Disappointed but by the time we checked in it was too late to find a new place to stay for entire week.
Also- owner was coming into property without notice and disrupted sleep and claimed he was there to drop off garbage bags. There was already ample garbage bags in kitchen cabinet. So I was very nervous about this and my anxiety didn’t unsettle until we left.

You asked me to come over to check AC since there is tiny water leak under AC, therefore I came. I brought detergent and trash bags since supply was low. I texted you and get your consent to enter the house.
The house is exactly same as pictures in the listing.
