This was convenient to visit my family in Ellsworth. The biggest issue I had was that I did not pay attention to the listing and there is no air conditioning. Some of the screens were missing so I could not open many windows and it was very warm inside. The owner appears to be still working on improvements. There were ants and I informed the owner.

Not what we thought we were getting
Location was good. Very quiet neighborhood. Peaceful.
We rented it for a week. Pictures online DOES NOT SHOW the bad parts of it!
But we were here for vacation and couldn’t find anything else after we arrived.
House looked like it was under construction and was not stocked at all.
Old pans that was very very used. No coffee pot we had to go buy one. Had to go buy measuring cup. Only one roll of paper towel. If you rent take your own dishes and towels.
Only 6 towels 2 hand towels and 1 dish cloth. Not even close to enough for more then 3 people unless you wash between uses for rest of party to use.
NO AC!! Screens on only 4 windows of the whole house so couldn’t even open windows for a breeze. Sliding door screen ripped so not much help. Front
door don’t open.
Only shower is in master bedroom so if you go with a group you all shower in the master bedroom. Inconvenient for a group of people.
Boards missing off porch you walk into house on. No railings.
Room off porch full of trash.
We had to sweep and wash countertop ,table etc when we arrived.
Not worth $xxxx a week in the condition it is in.
Power went out twice while there hostess was very good about keeping us informed about restoration! Hostess was very nice but house not up to par.

About the host

I am a Michigan Native and enjoy entertaining. I raised my 3 children in this great location and want to share the great Northern experience with travelers that like kayaking, boating, snowmobiling, skiing with family or just alone.
My goal is to provide a safe, friendly vacation home that provides all your traveling necessities so you can travel light and have a fun time!
Why they chose this property
This is a quiet neighborhood on a dead end road that is walking distance to community park with disc golf, soccer, softball, and baseball fields. Jump on the snowmobile trails 1 block away. Get on the Jordan River in 3 different locations and kayak or tube all the way into town or get off one of the locations that is 1/4mile from this home. Friendly safe town to enjoy with your family.
What makes this property unique
This property offers a great place for a family vacation as well as a couples retreat. Although on the outskirts of town the quiet neighborhood feels like your in the country. Enjoy smore's and ambience of a fire in the safe large fire pit. Grill your favorite meal on the gas grill and sit on the covered or sundeck with plenty of patio furniture to enjoy the great outdoors of Northern Michigan even in the winter. Plenty of space to park your boat or snowmobile trailer. No need to haul your sleds you can park and ride from this location, jump on the trails one block away.
