About this property
Secluded Cabin; Mountain Chalet w/ Hot Tub on 5 acre lot
About this space
Welcome to your mountain getaway in the foothills of PA!
Nestled in the forest next to the French Creek, this lodge sits on a 5.5 acres lot of wooded mountain. You will find yourself immersed into nature with every aspect of this home's design from the outdoor living area with a hot tub, to the great room wall of windows.
The space
This vacation home is situated on the side of a wooded mountain (more like a foothill but we like to think of it as our mountain!)
The 5.5 acre lot gives plenty of privacy and seclusion!
When entering the house, you enter into the main floor great room. The great room has gorgeous views if the forest during all 4 seasons and most of the rooms have windows looking out into the forest landscape as well. There is a music system along with a TV. One guest commented about this room "It's like sitting in a picture!"
Grab a hot drink, your slippers and head downstairs to the cozy "hangout zone." The downstairs living room has a large 75" TV connected to PS4, Firestick TV, and associated streaming services. Complete with desks for any office work (which you should not be doing on vacation!) and a game room with foosball, dry-erase boards for Pictionary, you won't want to leave!
There are two fully functional kitchens complete with large and small appliances, cooking utensils, cookware, glassware, and silverware. The kitchen is perfect for hosting during the holidays with plenty of elbow room! No more fighting over who gets to decorate the Christmas cookies first! Why two? I don't know, two seemed better than one at the time...
However, the outdoor living area is where its at: The 600sq/ft + deck feels like you are sitting in the trees--jump in the hot tub and then dry off under the outdoor heater and fire place. Just in case you run out of cooking space inside, a fully equipped Weber outdoor kitchen station will grill or smoke your food by itself... almost. There is an outdoor speaker system to all setup and controlled by our Alexa Overlords. Down in the yard is a large firepit for good ol fashion bonfires and smores. The kid's can check out the tree fort but use at your own risk!
But come back inside, let me finish showing you around...
Bedroom 1 is located on the main floor with a king bed and sitting area with a leather couch and recliner. This room is next to Laundry room and Bathroom 1 which boasts his and hers shower heads, heated floor and bidet. (trust me, it's worth it)
Upstairs from the main floor is a loft area with a sofa bed and connected to another full bathroom with freestanding tub, heated floors and glass shower stall. Bedroom 2 is also on this floor with king size bed, along with sitting area in the room. (Sitting rooms in bedrooms is also a thing for us. We find it's helpful to not be near people you don't want to talk to, not that that ever happens when family get's together!! lol, only kidding. mostly.
Bedroom 3 and 4 are on the lower level as well, with another full bathroom across the hall from them.
Not that you will ever want to leave, but if you do, there's lot's to do around! It's only 15m away from Phoenixville PA, home to 10 craft breweries, the Colonial Theater(where "The Blob" film was shot) and the Firebird Festival. TravelMag listed Phoenixville as one of "The Most Charming Towns and Small Cities in Pennsylvania and it sure lives up to that with all the amazing restaurants, brewpubs and small shops.
