My friends and I booked this cabin to celebrate my 30th birthday and it did not disappoint! The cabin was beautiful and clean. For an adults only trip, there were no “bad rooms”, everyone was comfortable and having 2 living spaces was so nice. We enjoyed the hot tub and saw deer as well! For my first time using VRBO, this was such a pleasant experience! Would highly recommend the hosts and this cozy cabin in the woods!

Major flood! Ants too!

Been to many VRBOs over the years and never left a negative response. Had to do for this one. Basement of house contains 1 bedroom, living room and laundry. My daughter woke up to go to the bathroom and the entire basement was completely flooding. Items of ours were destroyed including expensive baby items. Notified owner who did not seem to care. Asked a few questions but did not see an emergency. I have pics and video of major flooding including water coming in from all sides and water under floorboards. Did send pics and video to owner. No response. About 6 inches of water in basement. Up to our ankles. It needed immediate remediation. Basement with 1 bedroom unusable for entire weekend and began to smell. Outside, we could tell something like this has happened before. Plastic tape wrapped around the foundation and sump pump (poor repair). Owner did not seem surprised by flood. It was JMU's family weekend and there were no other options in terms of other VRBOs or hotels. We had guests sleep on couch. Items ruined. Aside from that, ant traps on counters. Live little ants found. No garbage bags to be found. Owner was unresponsive regarding check in, check out, and the flood. We asked for our money back and he would not respond. Beware of mold in this house. I doubt the basement got the response needed. Disappointing.
