We enjoyed our stay. We were traveling from WI to FL and this was half way. Everything went well. We hiked nearby and enjoyed a few wineries and a Bourbon Bar nearby.
Cabin was easy to find and the stay was very quiet. It was peaceful sitting on the back deck and enjoying the surrounding nature with a cold drink in hand. The inside was well furnished, the A/C was cold, and the layout was nice. We went to the nearby trailhead and did some trail running early in the morning, then spent the afternoons in Carbondale or Giant City. We will stay here again, 5 stars. Thx!
Second time at this cabin and stay was great. Steve is excellent to communicate with and provides a comfortable home to enjoy our visit. We will be back again.
We overall enjoyed our stay, very clean and had everything we needed! We did try to get the fireplace going but didnt have any luck with it. We plan to stay again in the future!
If you’re traveling to southern Illinois to hike and spend time outside, this cabin is for you.
Accommodations were great and the location is close to many parks and hiking trails.

Property was centrally located for a weekend full of hiking. Check in was a breeze and the property was as described. The weather was perfect, so we weren’t at the property except to sleep. It was perfect!
We really enjoyed staying at this cabin. It was cute and cozy, perfect for my husband and me. There is a nice deck to star gaze or sit in the sunshine. Steve, our host, went above and beyond helping us with the TV as we like to relax in the evening while watching sports. This is a great place to stay and we highly recommend it!
The owner gave very concise instructions to reach the property and enter the cabin. Cabin had all the amenities needed for our stay. It was comfortable and clean. I should also say it is a central area for local hiking and wine or beer trail. I will definitely look for this property again.

Cozy, quiet little cabin. Very homey!! So much to do nearby!
Cute clean cabin. We travel a lot and stay in a lot of these. This was clean and had most of the supplies needed to cook. The area it was located in was absolutely beautiful. We’d stay here again 9/10 stars.
Pretty close to giant city park. Easy in and Out. Great to have room for the kids to play and watch tv in downtime.
Lovely sunlight and easy to get fresh air.
What a great property located in a perfect spot, quiet and close enough to be convenient to SIU. We stayed with our daughter and I hate to be repetitive but I can't stress how great it was for us. Everything we needed was here and it was super clean. We will 100 per cent hope to stay here every visit over the years! Thank you Steve!

It was a nice, beautiful area on a golf course and lake. It was convenient to Giant City Park and access to Carbondale's many restaurant options.
Parking at our cabin was a little tight with a small area for three cabin renters to share
This is our second time staying at these cabins, and they are exactly what we need. The cabins are located next to a golf course (that's being renovated), and we were able to walk the course with our dog each morning. It is perfectly located just a short drive to SIU (where my son attends) and Giant City State Park. The cabins are clean and well stocked. Most importantly, the area is SAFE!
This was a great cabin to stay at. Centrally located for the wine trail, close for hikes and easy to get to. Quiet area and relaxing. We would definitely stay here agin and recommend to others!
