A cozy family getaway. While staying here, you will get to live in this historic stone home with a beautiful log addition. The original structure was built in the 1700s and served as the servant's quarters for the stone house across the road where your hosts now live. Set out in the country, you will be delighted with the peaceful environment created by the woods, fields, and buggies going by on the road.
The adults will love the high living room ceiling, while the children will love the book nook and play room. The cooks will love the spacious, state of the art kitchen. And the nature lovers will love the huge front porch...a perfect spot to watch the buggies go by and see the squirrels play.
Please make yourself at home. We live right across the street if you need anything! We love when we see guests enjoying our property. Feel free to walk across the street to Twin Brook Retreat where we have lots of outside space you can enjoy. There are wooded areas for picnics and walks, or you can sit down by the stream to enjoy the peace and quiet sound of rushing water. These are all shared spaces, so please be respectful to other guest when using them.
Psalm 23:2 says: "He leads me beside still waters; He restores my soul." Our prayer for our guests is that your stay here would restore and refresh your soul and give you an opportunity to reflect on our Heavenly Father's love and care for us.
Other things to note: * Consider staying even if you won't be using all the bedrooms.
* You will need to be able to climb stairs to reach the master bathroom and two other bedrooms. There is one bedroom with a king bed on ground level.

We loved everything about this charming home. It was very homey and comfortable. Had everything we needed. The host was great to work with. She responded to our questions in a timely manner. Will definitely stary here again.
This house was absolutely amazing! The bedrooms were well furnished and comfortable; the kitchen was incredible! Plenty of room for socializing, but also for finding a quiet nook to sit and read. Thoroughly enjoyed the front porch: the birds, the horse and buggies going by. Can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. Can’t wait to come back!
This was an amazing experience. The check in was super easy, the house was BEAUTIFUL. We used the kitchen and living space the most and were not disappointed. All of the details did not go unnoticed to us. We would hands down recommend and stay again!
In the area for a lacrosse tournament. This was an excellent place to stay for the family. Everyone loved the house. It was clean and communication with the host was easy. A quiet, relaxing place to stay after a long day at the fields
This house is immaculate and absolutely gorgeous! It’s gigantic and perfect for a big family. I love staying here and cannot wait to book my next stay. The front porch is huge and perfect for sitting and relaxing with coffee. The owners are very nice and make you feel welcome. I can’t say enough good things about this house. If you are thinking about booking, do it, I promise you won’t regret it.
The house was even better than the pictures. We had 3 generations there during our stay and everyone from 5-71 loved it. Waking up and going outside in the mornings was amazing....the air was fresh and the surroundings were beautiful. We hope to come back soon. Thank you for sharingg this beautiful property with us.
We had a wonderful stay. This was our second visit and we are already planning our next one. The home is beautiful and the location perfect. The house was fully equipped to make our stay pleasant and easy. We are three couples who are old friends that live in different states and enjoy getting together when we are able. Staying here is a perfect choice for us. A big thank you to our wonderful hosts, Candace and Merv!
We stayed in a 4-bedroom home in Lancaster County. To say that the home was in prestine condition is an under statement. We totally loved our stay and nobody in our group was ready nor wanted to leave.
We were extremely happy with our stay at the log cabin! The amenities, fixtures, appliances, furniture - all were top-notch. Beautifully decorated, everything we could possibly need or want was there. The snacks (pretzels & popcorn) were a nice touch. Coffee & tea were provided, along with paper goods, soaps, etc. The cabin was squeaky clean. We wished we could've stayed longer!
Beautiful inside and out. Very comfortable and relaxing.
Candace was a great hostess and available when needed. A little ways from Sight and sound but worth it to view the beautiful Amish countryside. The house was amazing and was exactly as advertised. Thank you Candace for sharing your beautiful home with us.
We spent 4 days/3 nights at the Log House at Twin Brook and enjoyed it immensely! The property was immaculate and exactly as described and shown in the pictures. It was very spacious and beautifully decorated, with a wonderful gourmet kitchen, spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds and nice bathrooms with great water pressure in the showers. We were within 15-30 minutes driving distance to all the attractions and restaurants we came to visit in Lancaster County. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the mornings & evenings drinking our coffee and listening to nature. Our host was very responsive and it was easy to check in and out for our stay. This was the perfect location for our visit and we will definitely be back again!
We had such an enjoyable stay. The cabin is exactly as described. It’s very spacious with tons of room to spread out and relax. The gourmet kitchen is immaculate and modern. My only regret is not staying longer. Candace is a wonderful hostess and communicates promptly. Would definitely recommend.
We were greeted with snacks which added an extra touch. The house was clean, spacious, beautiful and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this house.
