About this property

Ocean Breeze Cottage — Salt Spring Island. Peaceful, Nr. Town, Beaches, Lakes⭐

Looking for an affordable, clean, rural retreat within sight of the ocean for a few days? Then you’ve found it. Ocean Breeze Cottage on Salt Spring Island is newly renovated, & sleeps up to 6. You get the whole place to yourselves and a little ocean view too. All within easy reach of Ganges Village and local beaches, wineries, artist studios, and lakes.

Its your own private sanctuary, with indoor-outdoor living and new modern appliances: range, fridge, washer-dryer, and a well-equipped kitchen. Some breakfast basics and fixings are also included.

A clean and comfortable cottage with 2 bedrooms upstairs, and a sofa bed downstairs. Excellent Wi-Fi, Netflix and a Smart TV, along with various games help you keep entertained indoors. Meanwhile, our outdoor areas include a hammock, and a bistro set to enjoy your morning coffee on the front deck. As well as a garden patio furniture to enjoy your evening meal, or lunch, outside. Cooked on our small Weber BBQ no doubt.

The bright cottage also has a large indoor dining table, and wood stove. Also, there is a small ocean view from the Master bedroom. The bathroom features a large walk-in shower.

A fabulous space in which to relax in, or enjoy a family holiday.


Other things to note
We are centrally located only a few minutes from Ganges, the main center. While you are here there a a multitude of things to do depending on your interests: whale watching, kayaking, boating, fishing, hiking, visit art galleries, local farm stands and markets, go on cycle routes, take tasting tours of wineries and cider making, visit our local brewery or distillery, or go to the cheese farm, do yoga, go to a spa, have a massage, play golf, eat at great restaurants and pubs, go on an artists studio tour, go to numerous lakes and beaches, or just chill and relax !

From the minute we arrived the cottage was wonderful. The cottage was warm on a cool day, the kitchen was stocked with all the essentials, the beds were very comfortable. When I experienced a challenge with the wifi the host immediately replied and it was on and running.The cottage was an ideal place for a two week rest and relax!

A Week On Salt Spring Island

Ocean Breeze is a very quiet and peaceful location. Loved listening to the song birds, and observing the deer and fawns. Great location and easy access to good hiking trails and Ganges for shopping, artists and browsing. Loved the Saturday market. The week "breezed" by and ended too soon.

Ocean Breeze cottage was perfect for our 3 adult, 4 night stay in November. Close to Ganges, close to Ruckle Park and close to the ferry! Perfect location, even the hummingbirds visit. Lovely island home

The house was comfortable and clean. It was close enough to Ganges that we ended up eating out quite a bit, although the kitchen was well-stocked. The driveway is steep and there are steep stairs into the house and up to the bedrooms, so be sure your party is able to handle them. The host was very communicative, although we had no issues. Loved our stay!

Salt spring chilling

The property was very clean and everything we needed. Very minor issue that we could not get live channels on tv to work. Unfortunately I did not bring a laptop with hdmi port. Hdmi cable was provided. Netflix account worked fine. Did not try prime. We were kept entertained by the constant buzzing and feeding of hummingbirds. Also saw three bunnies. Would recommend to stay at this location.

Originally from England, I have lived on the west coast of Canada for over 30 years. Initially in Vancouver and since 2007 on Salt Spring Island. A kayaker, football (soccer) fanatic, father of two grown up daughters, I enjoy meeting guests and sharing our cottage with them so they can explore the wonderful island we call home.

Why they chose this property

While only 5 mins drive from Ganges (the main town) we are in a quiet, rural setting. You're much more likely to be visited by hummingbirds, deer, rabbits and other wildlife than people! But still within easy reach of restaurants, lakes, beaches, wineries, artists studios, the Saturday market and much more - all a short drive away.
