Welcome to our charming home in Downtown Pismo Beach - a quaint little cottage with much to offer! Enjoy being centrally located to many amazing restaurants and a mere 2 blocks from beach access. After a day at the beach, challenge your friends and family to some friendly competition with a game of cornhole, billiards or boardgames. Spend your evenings gathered around the backyard fire pit, roasting marshmallows or watching the sunset over the Pacific on the front patio.

This house has been in our family for over 70 years and has been the setting for beach vacations for several generations. We hope you enjoy your stay and would greatly appreciate you respecting it as your own. Please let us know if anything gets broken or damaged. We are a permitted Vacation Rental with the City of Pismo Beach VR25-000096.

Cute beach cottage

Very clean, comfortable, and well equipped for your beach visit. So close to the beach and food! Dog friendly and the backyard space is beautiful and perfect for pups and for enjoying the weather.

We had an amazing time! Beachy Keen Cottage was so cute and comfortable. Host provided the cottage with everything we needed and more. It was super close to the beach and other places like restaurants. The dogs had a great time and the host was able to answer any questions we had super quick. We will definitely recommend to our friends and family and will for sure come back! :)

Easter family trip

We met our adult sons here from Austin, San Diego and SLO. They were able to hang out with our dogs too. Thank you for making it so comfortable and special for all of us.

Get away with the Pups

We had such an amazing time at the cottage. It is a close walking distance from Splash Cafe and even closer to the beach. The neighborhood is super quiet too!! The house is cute and has all the original old charm that we love. The doggies loved this home as well with the great backyard for them to run around! We definitely love this home and extended our trip by a whole day. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

Great time at the keen cottage.

We had a great time at the keen cottage and I have to say that it was one of the better if not best VRBO that we have stayed in so far. The cottage is super cute and clean. It held our family of 4 people with the dog just fine. The location to the beach is amazing and if you sit on the front porch in the afternoon you get great sun and a view of the ocean:)

History, Great Location, Great Outdoor Space.

We so enjoyed the properties history of holding out against the new development in the area- what a refreshing interesting story. This little place has a great location- we walked everywhere everyday, except when we took our bikes. Hannah made us very welcome and or dog was made welcome as well. She loved her blankets and toys. The outdoor space is perfect through out the day and very dog friendly. We appreciated the game/activities and beach equipment. Pismo is a very fun little town with lots going on. And Hannah, thanks for the restaurant recommendations!

In the mix

Loved the location of this property. It’s right downtown and easy to walk to restaurants, the pier, and the beach. Everything was super clean and thoughtfully put together. Our teenager had a great time with the pool table and dart board. It was a little chilly the evenings we were there and we loved sitting around the fire pit - the basket of “outdoor blankets” by the back door were put to good use. The beds were comfortable. USB plugs on all the lamps made charging devices easy. Overall a great place to stay and we plan to visit again - next time with our dog.

AZ Family getaway to beat the Heat

Firstly, the owner Hannah was marvelous. Hannah was very professional and provided quick responses to all of our queries. The property was quite lovely and provided many activities to enjoy the AMAZING weather. We LOVED the outdoor backyard space and spent quite a bit of time out there. While other units around the area looked to only have balconies the outdoor space in this rental really made this our families first choice. The beach was about a 5 minute walk and was awesome. Restaurants and grocery stores are also very conveniently located around the corner. We cooked most of our meals in the unit and the the kitchen had more than adequate supplies. Beds all very comfy along with the couch in the family room. Alot of very nice personal touches around the unit as everything was easy to find. We would definetely rent this unit again in the future.

Cute compound, great location

We loved our stay here. The place has been recently renovated/restored and was like a small piece of old town Pismo, with all the modern luxuries. It’s like your own private compound-game room, private backyard with bbq, table, open areas with fake grass, compressed peeled and concrete. Well landscaped with a wonderful shade cloth and a gas fire pit. Both us and the dogs loved the yard. Main house was well stocked, including fans, heaters and lots of towels and blankets if needed. The bathroom was a bit small, but worked well for just the two of us. The king bed is in a separate bungalow with the only bathroom in the main house. That could be an issue for some, as you need to go outside (in the backyard) to get to the bathroom. If I had to change one thing, I’d ask for dimmers on the lights. They were either off, or super bright on. Location was spectacular. Hanna was a wonderful host, had to call shortly after arrival (with a really dumb question), she was easily reachable and wonderfully helpful and gracious. Would 100% recommend and would stay there again if we ever return to Pismo.

The Beach Keen Cottage was one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. My wife, my Cavapoo Pismo, and I truly enjoyed our time there. The cottage was lovely, cozy, and felt like a home away from home. The host was very attentive, helpful, and made the entire experience even better. We will definitely be coming back every year. Thank you for such a wonderful stay! 10/10.
