This is a very special place. We loved our time there. Very clean and everything was as it was presented in the description. The hosts were very friendly. We loved seeing the wild life.
Very clean and well stocked. I usually sanitize everything but here I did not feel the need. Nice and quiet too

The property was quite and beautiful. The owners were inviting and friendly. The space was perfect for the two of us. Eating places and grocery were close by as well as gorgeous views of the mountains. Definitely would like to stay there again.
Helpful, friendly hosts and a sweet, clean, nicely supplied cabin in magical forest setting. Very peaceful! We even had a herd of elk in the driveway at our arrival.
We loved your place. It was perfect for us and centrally located for doing what we needed to do. Decorated with nice little antiques. Got to see an elk. We highly recommend it for a place to stay. Thank you so very much.

Staying at The Hideaway was like going home to Moms house; comfortable and tastefully furnished with a blend of beautiful vintage furniture and collectibles, and modern amenities. The bed was SO comfortable, which was perfect after three days of wedding festivities. The owners were welcoming and helpful and a joy to visit with. Their property was beautiful and well-kept and the rhododendrons were breathtaking! We even saw elk in the yard one morning! Taylor Creek Hideaway is definitely one of our favorites!
There is a "hang out" spot between the rental and the parking spot that was supposed to be for guests to lounge but the contantly barking dog and very dusty atmosphere, we never did.

The outdoor space IS outdoors so there will always be dust and pollen during these very dry parts of the year! The dog is a guard dog and alerts us to people coming on the property. When we have guests, we stop her barking or bring her in. She does NOT bark constantly! Most guests want us to turn her loose because she is so friendly!
This cottage has as much charm as it does wildlife! My family enjoyed waking up early to the animals roaming the grounds in search of a snack.
The hosts were helpful and worked with us on an early check in that was hassle-free. We also enjoyed talking with them about their real estate journey.
If we get the opportunity, we will definitely be going back.

Weekend trip
The property is private. It was nice enough. The couch is uncomfortable and the coffee table could use an area rug as it slips on the floor. Other than that it was a good place to stay.

I’m very disappointed by this review. The sofa is new and others have found it VERY comfortable. We don’t have an area rug under the coffee table as that could be a trip hazard and since the sofa is a sleeper sofa the coffee table needs to be movable. It only moves if you push it. What about the fact that the bed is very comfortable and the place is spotless?
Great location for our needs, quiet and the elk did visit
Quiet and off the beaten path. Owners are close by but never saw them during our stay except for check-in and check-out which was very smooth and effortless. Large bedroom, comfortable bed. Minimal kitchen which was more than we needed but did appreciate the full size refrigerator. Close to family in Maple Valley. We will check availability next time we go to visit family. There are no steps/stairs between the dedicated parking area and the cottage. We did ask that question on the web site but it took longer than expected to get a reply and went ahead and completed the reservation before we knew the answer. So, 4 stars there. Suggest adding no steps to the advertisement for others who may have limited mobility as that is a positive feature. We did have about 6 elk visit one morning. Would recommend to others.
