About this property
Lakefront Studio Cabin & Tiki Hut. Enjoy Summer Fun and Winter Serenity!
Welcome to Lake Daze at Tapps! Wake up to amazing lake views directly from the comfy King bed in this tropical beach vibes tiny home/cabin. Enjoy the lake just steps away from the cabin, roast s’mores in the fire pit, and relax on the dock with a morning coffee or evening glass of wine.
The cabin is perfect for a fun getaway or romantic staycation, with an homage to our favorite place, Hawai'i!
- Covered Tiki-themed outdoor patio provides shade and rain protection - Kayaks, Stand Up Paddleboard, and Water Toys available for guests use. (Seasonal availability) - Small Kitchenette with microwave and large mini fridge. - Dedicated fast internet and writing desk for a unique work retreat. - Outdoor fire pits: traditional wood pit and a propane fire bowl in the Tiki Hut
Max occupancy is two adults. This is a cozy 275 square foot studio/tiny home with one King bed.
Note: The cabin is right on the lake, so be prepared to be entertained on sunny summer days with multiple boats, jet skiers, kayakers, and the occasional float plane going by. There will be boat noise, music being played, and delighted screams from the inner-tubers as they are towed behind the boats. In winter, the lake level goes down a bit but there is always water in front of the cabin. It is very peaceful and quiet in the winter months - great for watching the waterfowl and relaxing in the cozy cabin.
The cabin is on the property of our main house and access will require walking down steep stairs/hill. The cabin doors are heavy sliders. The cabin is not recommended for guests who may have mobility issues.

About the host
Hosted by Suzanne Prenovost
Aloha! We are both higher education professionals and met at university in Honolulu. We are excited to show our guests the Aloha spirit and share our cabin on Lake Tapps. We have three boys, two are in college and one is just starting high school. We love our community and spend a lot of time on the lake, at the soccer fields, golfing and the occasional hike! Jason also loves his early morning waterski sessions on the weekends. We live on site and we love to meet our guests, but you will also have your personal space when you visit. We are available via VRBO app, phone, text, or just a knock on the door if you have any questions or needs.
Why they chose this property
We are happy to share our cozy and casual studio cabin. Take in the lake views, relax, and make some fun memories! Lake Tapps is a beautiful neighborhood located in Pierce County, Washington, approximately 30 miles south of Seattle. It is named after the man-made reservoir Lake Tapps, which is surrounded by beautiful parks and is a popular spot for water sports and recreational activities.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of the Lake Tapps neighborhood is the abundance of outdoor activities that are available. In addition to water sports, there are plenty of hiking trails and parks to explore, close to Mt. Rainier and Crystal Mountain Ski Resort. The quaint towns of Enumclaw and Sumner are within a 20 minute drive and provide small town main street shopping, antique shops, restaurants and festivals. Close to wedding venues such as Kelly Farm, The Barn at Wilson Farm, Laurel Creek Manor, and Grandview Estate Weddings.
