About this property
Lakefront Studio Cabin & Tiki Hut. Enjoy Summer Fun and Winter Serenity!
Welcome to Lake Daze at Tapps! Wake up to amazing lake views directly from the comfy King bed in this tropical beach vibes tiny home/cabin. Enjoy the lake just steps away from the cabin, roast s’mores in the fire pit, and relax on the dock with a morning coffee or evening glass of wine.
The cabin is perfect for a fun getaway or romantic staycation, with an homage to our favorite place, Hawai'i!
- Covered Tiki-themed outdoor patio provides shade and rain protection - Kayaks, Stand Up Paddleboard, and Water Toys available for guests use. (Seasonal availability) - Small Kitchenette with microwave and large mini fridge. - Dedicated fast internet and writing desk for a unique work retreat. - Outdoor fire pits: traditional wood pit and a propane fire bowl in the Tiki Hut
Max occupancy is two adults. This is a cozy 275 square foot studio/tiny home with one King bed.
Note: The cabin is right on the lake, so be prepared to be entertained on sunny summer days with multiple boats, jet skiers, kayakers, and the occasional float plane going by. There will be boat noise, music being played, and delighted screams from the inner-tubers as they are towed behind the boats. In winter, the lake level goes down a bit but there is always water in front of the cabin. It is very peaceful and quiet in the winter months - great for watching the waterfowl and relaxing in the cozy cabin.

This was a great decision to stay here. Really clean, small but they pack in everything you need and clearly explain how everything works. They have all the cute extras like coffee, tea cocoa, drinks in fridge and snacks along with the stuff you might forget like toiletries. Gorgeous view of the lake. We will stay again!

Thanks so much, Michelle! We would love to host you again
Such an adorable place to spend a few days. The unit itself was clean, cozy, comfortable and well equipped. The decor, tiki hut and palm trees outside the unit truly gave that tropical feel of Hawaii. We enjoyed the view of the lake and woke up to more than two dozen swans swimming across. Even though we were there in the winter, and it was raining, we thoroughly enjoyed this sweet spot and hope to return again. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming.

Mahalo for staying with us and leaving the cabin practically spotless! We are so glad you had a wonderful stay and that the Swans were out on the lake in the morning. It’s such a pretty time of year for wildlife viewing even though a bit chilly. We hope to see you again soon!
This is a great property. The room is exceptionally clean, comfortable (especially the bed) and well equipped. It is directly on Lake Tapps so provides lovely view. The host is very helpful and friendly. Everything about this place is guest oriented. There are many tips and suggestions with guest needs in mind. We would definitely stay here again! We especially loved the Hawaiian touches, the electric fireplace and kitchenette. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Mahalo, Tamara! We are so glad you enjoyed your visit with us.
Thank you for letting us stay with you. We had such a relaxing trip. It was everything we were looking for to celebrate my birthday and our engagement!
Beautiful lakefront setting with everything we needed. The property was just as advertised: clean, comfortable and perfect for two people. Use of kayaks was a nice plus.
Easy access to dining and highways to get you to the National Parks or downtown Seattle.
Such a cozy Hawaiian themed lake cabin with a gorgeous view! My husband and I had a very relaxing stay. Sunsets were amazing by the tiki hut. Beautiful place for photos. The cabin had everything you could think of. Every little detail was carefully considered. I really enjoyed drinking Hawaiian coffee while reading a few pages of books that were in the cabin. My husband forgot his toothbrush and the cabin had extra. Suzy put so much effort into the decor, you could tell. We enjoyed meeting Suzy and Jason! We definitely want to come back! Thank you! Mahalo for your review and for staying with us! We hope to have you back again in the future.
I came here for a couple days to recenter for the new year, do some reading and crocheting, and just to get out of the city for a bit. this little cottage exceeded my expectations! a nice quiet getaway in the winter months, and a few minutes away from an amazing view of mt rainier set behind the lake!
Came into town for a memorial and this place was so relaxing when I needed it the most! Beautiful views, and great amenities!! A couple of my girlfriends were able to come over and they’ll definitely be booking this place soon!! Great for those solo trips or even a little staycation!!
This was honestly the best experience we have had with VRBO! Check in was easy, the property was pristine. They had a great welcome basket with snacks and the bed was sooooo comfy. We will stay again if we are ever in the area. Can’t beat waking up to the lake at your feet. We also loved they had shampoo and conditioner.

Thanks so much Nicole! We loved hosting you and your family, we are so happy you enjoyed your stay!
The room was cute and clean. We were not able to use the kayaks or paddle boards because of the weather, but so cool that’s it’s available to use. Very quiet at night and a great view.
My husband and I stayed at this property for our 25th anniversary. It was a beautiful stay. The detail and level of care of the property both inside and out are top notch. The Hawaiian theme is cheerful and welcoming. The place is cute, cozy, and full of charm. The lake views are terrific and amenities like the kayaks and the fire pit made for a fabulous time.
This lakeside Hawaii themed rental was an amazing way to cure some winter blues! We were repeatedly impressed with all the thought put into the house and outside areas. Everything was clean and had a new feeling to it. We hope to return here when the weather is warmer!

Aloha! We are both Higher Education professionals and met at university in Honolulu. We are excited to show our guests the Aloha spirit and share our cabin on Lake Tapps. We have three boys, two are in college and one is just starting high school. We love our community and spend a lot of time on the lake, at the soccer fields, golfing and the occasional hike! Jason also loves his early morning waterski sessions on the weekends. We live on site and we love to meet our guests, but you will also have your personal space when you visit. We are available via VRBO app, phone, text, or just a knock on the door if you have any questions or needs.
