Granlibakken Get Away - Fun Family Resort - Close to Everything Tahoe City

Fantastic 3 bedroom 3 bath townhouse at Granlibakken, a wonderful resort just minutes from Tahoe City.

Centrally located, and plowed during the winter, Granlibakken provides an excellent retreat.

Just 5 minutes into Tahoe City for restaurants, shopping & Commons Beach Park – which has great play structures for kids, and only 15 minutes to Homewood Ski Resort and 20 minutes to Palisades/Alpine and Squaw Valley.

Each room has a private bath, flat screen TV and WiFi.

The kitchen is well equipped and the living room is ultra comfortable with a high vaulted ceiling, great leather sofas and fireplace. The condo also has a large porch for relaxing and taking in the forested mountain views.

Granlibakken has beautiful grounds and wonderful on-site amenities. A ski & sled hill, huge hot tub, sauna & heated Olympic sized pool *heated year round! >as well as tennis, hiking & biking just outside the door.

The Granlibakken resort is beautifully wooded and quiet, while conveniently located so close to Tahoe City. It’s a great place for people of all ages, all times of the year.

Property was well-maintained and has all the basics to cook at home if needed! We lost power for a day during a gnarly storm (the whole resort was out) but had no issues otherwise! Would definitely book again.

Wonderful Condo!

We have rented multiple properties at this resort, and this was the best so far. Clean, roomy and easy check-in. Loved having bathrooms en suite and tvs in each bedroom as well. Kids loved easy access to Tree Tops and the pool/hot tub!

Great spot for a rainy day!

We had an amazing time here! The place had everything we needed! Very clean loved that every room had its own bathroom. Perfect for our rainy vacation because we were able to go to the warm pool/spa in between rain storms and got in quick hikes throughout the day! We love that we can bike anywhere from there! Can’t wait to go back when there is snow!

Great stay at end of skiing season

Great little place and super close to the skiing and sledding area at the granlibakken. The home was perfect for our needs. Staff are very friendly and host is very responsive. FYI, for those needing a washer dryer, there isn’t one in the unit but there is on in the main area lodge by the check in counter.

Nice place, smaller than it looks.

Nice unit in a great location. We had 3 friends on a winter ski trip and it was a little snug in the common area. Kitchen and bathrooms could also use some updating to help it stand out. All in all a nice place to stay.

Amazing find!

What an amazing experience at this VRBO location. Although an older residence, it was very quaint and homie. We were able to enjoy the quieter side of Tahoe. The gym and pool were minimal but perfect for what we were looking for. Hot tub was amazing! I would definitely recommend this for those looking for a relaxing location.

Perfect!

The condo was wonderful. We were in Tahoe for the 91st annual family Thanksgiving. The condo gave us a great location and fit our needs to a T. Some may consider it a bit snug, we thought it was perfect for our needs. We look forward to using it again, when the family will gather in Tahoe next.

Comfort in beautiful location

We have stayed in many condos in Granlibakken Resort over the years and this is our favorite. The host, Caitlin, has been wonderful to communicate with and is very responsive. The unit itself has a kitchen stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals ( bring your own seasonings), comfortable bedrooms, great living room furniture to relax on, and the location in Granlibakken Resort is close walking distance to the pool, small ski slope/ sledding, hiking trails and Treetop adventure park. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Location, Location, Location

Granlibakken is a lovely secluded resort tucked into the mountains, but, is less than a mile from Tahoe City. The perfect getaway year round!

What makes this property unique

Skiing, sledding, hiking, biking & tennis right outside our door. Fantastic.
Huge Olympic sized pool - heated year round. Family fun for everyone! There is also a TreeTop Adventure Park onsite. A zip lining & ropes course open year round.
