Whether you're cozying up in the primary sitting room or having a summer cookout on the deck, this comfortably decorated mountain home provides the perfect backdrop for memories high above the pines. With 3 bedrooms and ample living space, it’s an ideal home base for exploring Tahoe City and beyond.

Rocky Ridge is a gated 60-acre community in Tahoe City bordering State Forest land, offering immediate access to hiking and mountain biking trails. Residents and guests enjoy premium amenities, including two seasonal swimming pools and spas, tennis and basketball courts, a playground, Bocce Ball, and a private beach with a pier, clubhouse, and volleyball court.

Our open-concept, two-story rentals feature vaulted mountain-style ceilings, rock fireplaces, and fully equipped kitchens. Each unit includes high-speed Wi-Fi, an in-unit washer/dryer, and all linens. Please note that homes are equipped with central heat and fans, while A/C is rare in Tahoe, we’ve provided fans to keep that fresh mountain air circulating!


*Forest View pool is being re-coated in Spring 2026, which may affect the opening date. No refunds will be given.

Beautiful view and plenty of space for our family. The place was tidy, cozy and the kitchen was well stocked with tools, etc. It was very quiet and peaceful too, we were amazed the other units were so empty in March. Great location too, quick drive to town.

The lake view was exceptional. The property was clean and well-maintained despite its age. However, the heater in the master bedroom is noisy and might disturb light sleepers. I always bring earplugs, so it's fine for me, but I wanted to mention it for others who are sensitive to noise.

They did not send us check in instructions. And after we called them they gave us a wrong passcode. We were locked out at night and they did not answer calls any more. Finally vrbo support was able to give us the correct passcode after an hour.

The place is a bit outdated but worked for what we needed. I know it’s in the woods so critters are around, wasn’t expecting to see them inside. I let the office know and they said they are on it. I’d stay again if the critter situation was taken care of.

Unfortunately, summer 2025 was a huge mouse year across Tahoe, all homes and condos had this same issue. We have a monthly pest service set up for all of our units and are continuing to work on the issue.

Great view near Tahoe City

Beautiful view in a great location. The condo fitted the needs of our family of 5 well. The condo has been well loved and is appointed similarly to most Tahoe rentals we have stayed in. We weren’t going to be able to cook a big meal there, but that was never in our plans. The heating system takes some getting used to (hint: when it’s cold crank it up as it takes about an hour to get going but keep it at 4 or 5 upstairs when going to bed or it’s too hot to sleep), but we eventually figured it out.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view of the lake and quietness of the complex is fantastic. Beautiful view from the pool and access to the Burton Creek Trail. The unit itself was dated but clean. Plenty of linens. The couch was interesting and feathers were coming from the cushions? So we avoided using it. One slider was missing a screen door so couldn’t keep the door open which was a bummer. Only big complaint which really is not the owner’s fault was we found mice in the kitchen/downstairs. One dead and one (or more than one) running around. Unfortunately, put a big damper in the last two days with young kids being scared. We will rent again from this vacation rental company but probably pick a different unit next time.

Mice Ruined the Experience

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: On the first night, there was a mouse that ran under the sofa in the living room. The next day there were mice dropping in the entry and on the kitchen counters. We made sure to keep all the food in the cabinets or refrigerator. There is also droppings inside the drawer where they keep kitchen towels. On the last night there was a mouse knawing on something in the master bedroom in the middle of the night. The Mouse problem kept us from wanting to cook and relax. I know RR has always had mice problems. My father own #50 and there have been mice since I was young but he makes it a priority to rid them on a regular basis.

Superb view of the lake, great location

We booked for the thanksgiving trip with family. The location of the property is very convenient, minutes from Tahoe city town. Most importantly, this unit is one of the few in that community that facing to the lake! You can view the sunrise, and sunset directly from the room! The only issue we had was the heater in the master room that rattles which creates very loud noise during the night, every two hours or so. Later I found out that when you set the temperature to right at 5 or below, the noise is gone since the heater won't start, but you will need a thick comforter at the night. Other than the heater issue, overall it's a great memory for us. We visited the Palisade ski resort, kings beach, and some random sled hill nearby. My daughter loved it.

Love Lake Tahoe!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Lake Tahoe/Rocky Ridge for over 35 years. This rental property had not been updated at all and we will not rent it again. It has a spectacular view and the layout is great for entertaining but the bedding/bathrooms/ outdoor furniture/deck needs attention. The grounds at Rocky Ridge have been maintained in general - the upper pool hot tub was not working our last day or two. It is a beautiful setting - the beach access is awesome! We had fun with the bocce ball courts - walking trails - . Only disappointment was our rental unit -
