Some good and some bad. The outdoors area and deck are wonderful. The house is cramped and difficult to navigate. The shower is tiny and uncomfortable. It’s clean overall but needs TLC (see pics) and there’s one small A/C for 4 bedrooms of home.
The house is rustic but very comfortable. The view of the lake is spectacular! The lake bottom is muddy and not ideal for swimming, but it us just fine for boats, kayaks, and canoes. We used the owner's kayaks. Nice sandy beach for swimming just 15 minutes away. Great restaurants 15 minutes away in Naples and Wyndham.
The owner provided very good communication prior to our arrival and always left clear instructions. The location of the cove is very nice. The large yard with the Adirondack chairs, hammock, deck and dock was great to use. The kayaks, tubes and canoe were appreciated. The heat in the house was very responsive as well as the air conditioner. The only reason why I did not give it a 5 star was the size of the bathroom. Other than that, the cabin/camp style house was a very nice stay.
Highlights: waterfront with very shallow water, safe for children. Stocked with essentials at check in (few water bottles, paper towels, dish soap) if you need to delay a thorough grocery shop for the following day. Very very clean for a remote(ish) camp.
Important details: VERY small kitchen with no counter space - do not anticipate room to prep. Bathroom sink is on pedestals and not super secure, so be mindful of the legs underneath. No washer dryer (as was indicated).
Wonderful, quiet location on Sebago lake. We brought a boat and had a nice sheltered cove with a dock to tie to. About 4 feet of water to swim in off the dock and they had a swim ladder to get out from. The lake level is high now so I imagine there might be a small sandy area when it isn’t. Kitchen has basic pots and pans, stove and full size fridge. Only room for one to be cooking in at a time. This is one floor living with 4 bedrooms, one bathroom with a small stall shower and a small eating space with AC. Luckily we had great weather and spent most of our time outside so the space didn’t really matter. If your looking for a updated modern location this isn’t it. Lawn for paddle ball and a game of wiffle ball. Family friendly. We enjoyed our stay and already miss the lake!
The cove was perfect for us to be able to swim and use our paddle board and Lilly pad to swim with our two boys. Dock was great to use to store our rented boat and a plus that it was super calm to not worry about safely storing. Yard and deck was great for grilling and two active boys to play sports in on the grass after a day of fun on the lake. The house is smaller than appears in pictures, it is only one floor with a small living area and bedrooms and a small kitchen. With 4 of us it was ok as we used the extra room to store things, the only day it was really tight was the day it rained as not being able to get outside to give the kids somewhere to play. There is no washer and dryer which I should have looked at closer which is a bummer as with kids lots of laundry is accumulated over a week! Overall it is a great little spot for a family vacation
