Lil Sunshine is the perfect oasis with a heated backyard pool, quiet surroundings, tropical plantings, and a short walk to the beach, you’ll have the perfect escape. In the shoulder seasons (March, April, September, October) the pool is heated.
The private beach access for Sunshine Lane guests only is just a short walk (1 min) from the house. Lil Sunshine is the perfect place for families, girls trips, and romantic getaways. There’s plenty of room to spread out and relax together in the living room, or taking in the ocean breeze on the back porch while sipping a cold beverage. However you like to relax, Lil Sunshine is here to make it easier for you to forget your troubles and enjoy your vacation!
Beds are made with complimentary linens, towels are included in the bathrooms along with, shampoo/conditioner and soap, and a starter roll of TP. The kitchen is equipped with all the gadgets you’ll need and a starter roll of paper towels, dish detergent, and cleaning supplies.
Just pack your cooler, chairs, and your swimsuit, and you’re all set!
May - November is sea turtle nesting season and it is quite a treat to be there on a full moon to possibly see hatchlings leave their nest for the ocean.
Holden Beach is a family friendly beach and everyone is welcome at Lil Sunshine. There’s an awesome playground at the bridge, including a a basketball/pickleball court. Bring your bike for an easy bike ride to the pier for ice cream and shopping at the t-shirt shop. For dinner you are a short drive to restaurants like our favorites, Provision Company, Mermaid’s Island Grill, and Sorella’s Italian restaurant (yum!).

Clean, easy beach access

I’m never quite sure when booking off the waterfront, but this is a great location with easy access to a quiet stretch of beach. Property was clean and comfortable. Good communication from owner and appreciated the keyless access.

This was one of the best vacation homes we have stayed in especially for the price. Very short walk to the beach with a private ramp access, making it easy for adults and kids to get straight to the fun! Check in/out was really easy. Family vacation

A great week at a great house! Our family really enjoyed the pool! It was so nice. Well stocked kitchen made making supper easy! Quiet area of the beach but just a short drive to get to the busier part of the island. A great week with many memories made!

Family mini vacation

Our family truly enjoyed staying a few days at the house. The pool was a plus and made the trip that much more fun. The beach was just a short walk across the street and was not over crowded. Pretty much everything was provided in the home and the beds were super comfortable. We will return next year and highly recommend renting this house. The host responded to messages quickly and very gracious.

Family Vacation July 2023

Our family had a great time at Holden Beach and enjoyed the stay at Lil Sunshine. The property manager was prompt at answering any and all questions we had when booking and throughout our stay. The home was wonderful, the only problem we had was the bed in the master bedroom was uncomfortable so we bought a foam mattress topper to use on it and that fixed the problem!

Nice house, close to beach

The house was just as described and what we saw in the photos. Parking was easy for 2 cars. The house was clean and comfortable. There were plenty of cups, plates, utensils and cookware in the kitchen. The outdoor pool and sitting area were perfect for our group with 4 kids. We were glad for the pool towels that were available at the house. We loved the short walk to the beach. And the host was friendly and responsive. Thank you for hosting us in your lovely home.
