Urban Woodland Retreat, Near the ~UW~, Convenient to Everything

You will be delighted as you descend from street level in a quiet family neighborhood to your garden-level suite opening onto a mature wooded greenbelt along the popular Burke-Gilman trail. You will open your private entrance to find a lovely, roomy apartment, providing two comfortable bedrooms. You'll have to decide whether to sink into the comfortable sofa to enjoy the big screen TV with cable, cozy up before the floor to ceiling windows to drink in the serene view of trees, birds and Lake Washington in the distance, or cook a gourmet meal in the well-equipped kitchen. Your guests will relax and chat at the bar while you create, then you can share your bounty at the dining table. You may choose to barbecue outdoors and dine al fresco on your private deck, patio or around the crackling fire-pit.

The first bedroom has a king size bed, huge closet and wall-mounted TV. The second bedroom has an inviting queen size bed, convenient storage and a large window looking out on the wooded garden. This bedroom adjoins the full bathroom with tub and shower, separate vanity with plenty of storage.

You have your own laundry room, complete with front loader, high efficiency washer and dryer. Your suite will always be comfortable, with natural gas heat and central air conditioning. You will enjoy the gas fireplace in the living room. You and your family will always feel safe with your own security system.

Your guest suite is your home away from home, secluded-feeling but minutes away from all the amenities and activities you could want. You have your own covered parking spot steps from the stairway that takes you down three levels to your urban oasis. You will find easy street parking in the uncrowded neighborhood. You are steps away from public transportation, taking the Metro bus to the University District, Seattle Center, Northgate, Ballard or downtown in minutes. The bus will also take you to the University Station for light rail to downtown, the sports stadium area and Sea-Tac airport. You can hop on the Burke-Gilman trail for a walk, run or bike trip to Magnuson Park, University Village, the University of Washington campus, or points beyond.

Apartment was on ground level of 3 story home. Very clean and had all of the amenities we needed. Owner was on property and did a thorough job of showing all the amenities and where everything was. Nice hiking/biking trail just behind the home. Great location in nice neighborhood.

Seattle Excursion

Seattle was a short stop on our way to Vancouver for an Alaskan cruise. The VRBO was absolutely spotless, well stocked, and had a beautiful view. The host Ron was accommodating and responsive to all of our needs. Highly recommend.

Lovely Stay

I hate to say wonderful things about this place as I want to keep it a secret. It is amazing - from the location to the amenities and to the beautiful woodland backyard. There are so many things I could point to as examples but our favorite was Ron had a s’mores kit ready to go for when our granddaughter visited. We will be back!

Amazing stay

We had an amazing stay at Ron’s place. He is one of if not the most attentive and thoughtful vrbo hosts. The placed was stocked with everything we needed and then some. Ron and his wife even took time to clean off the high chair they let us borrow for our little one. The place is nice and cozy in a very safe neighborhood. Highly recommend this place

Wonderful experience!

Upon arrival, Ron met us and gave a walk through of the location. Everything was clean, updated, and well stocked with everything we could need. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly, no worries with finding parking, and there was a trail within walking distance. Kid friendly as well. We would definitely rent again!

We loved everything about our 3 week stay in this unit. Exceptionally clean with comfortable furniture and every item a traveler might need. The yard is beautifully landscaped and lovely to behold from both inside and out. Ron is a wonderful host who makes you feel more like a house guest than a renter. Clean and Memorable Location

Football Weekend

Four of us drove in for two football games over the weekend—the huskies and the hawks….Ron’s rental was perfect in absolutely every way! We loved it and we won both games! Perfect! We will be back for sure. I highly recommend this very comfortable apartment.

Convenient and well appointed

We stayed with Ron due to the location of the property to my family. The home was supplied with everything you would need for your stay. The beds were comfortable, the outside fire pit was very nice, but we ran out of time and didn’t utilize it. The home is Located in a very nice neighborhood close to everything you would need for your stay. We were well cared for by Rona and will definitely return. Thank you for your hospitality!

Best girls trip

First time in Seattle and it could not have been better. We loved the home and the neighborhood we were in. The house is beautiful and so relaxing. The outdoor space is stunning and it backs up to a great trail. We didnt have time to go on the trail next time, but plan to be back. One friend decided this area is where she wants to move to next. The house feels very zen, from beautiful side tables to the art on the walls. The beds were so comfortable and we all loved the pillows. Everyone wished we had more time to spend. One of the best VRBO's I have stayed at Crystal

Great place to stay when you're visiting Seattle!

I had a great experience at Ron's place! The property is clean and spacious. It's also in a very safe neighborhood that is pretty centrally located, there's a mall (U Village) nearby and it isn't too far of a drive from downtown Seattle. Check-in is also easy, Ron will meet you to show you the place and the whole process takes about 10 minutes. The property is located on the first floor of Ron's residence. Although you're on his property, the floor you're living in is private and it feels like you're in your own apartment. I will definitely come back to this property the next time i'm in the area!

Very Peaceful Home

This is my second time staying here, with my elderly parents, while visiting my son who attends UW. It is so comfortable and peaceful, in an extremely quiet and safe neighborhood. With being only about 5-10 minutes from campus, it's close enough, yet away from the hustle and bustle surrounding the campus. The host, Ron, lives in the unit above and goes out of his way to make us feel welcomed and have a comfortable stay. There were cold sodas and beers in the fridge upon our arrival, as well as a smores kit for the backyard fire pit. The unit is down some stairs, but my parents who are in their mid 80's had no problem with them. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking to stay in the area, especially while visiting a student at UW.

Beautiful, relaxing, conveniently located home away from home

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect and the backyard is amazing. We enjoyed a morning walk on the nearby biking bath and upon return had coffee on the cozy deck at the house enjoying the view of the backyard. The house is a short walk to a nearby grocery store (which has great bagels and soups). In general, the neighborhood is beautiful to walk around: it's hilly, quite, and provides great views of Mt. Rainier. The house is close to UWashington and the University Village. We enjoyed riding bikes on the nearby trail and around Seattle. The house is also close to several bus stops and a short Uber/Lift ride from the 1 Line metro line; so easy to get to where ever you need. Inside the house was very cozy and had everything we needed and more. The owner(s) are very thoughtful and even had extra toothbrushes and razors. The kitchen has everything. The owner(s) greeted us and showed around the property; he was also available anytime to answer questions. The backyard is amazing and has a grill and a fire pit, which makes it for a wonderful evening, if you are not out and about in Seattle. I would definitely come back and would highly recommend it to others.

We travel to Seattle a couple times a year and this is always our first choice VRBO to rent. We love the location, the unit is always immaculate and stocked beyond everything we need! During this recent stay we enjoyed using the outdoor space to grill dinner and hang out around the gas firepit in the evening. Additionally, we had spent the previous week traveling in CA, so the full size washer and dryer was a great perk! Extremely reasonable price for the unit and everything that comes with it!

As your host, Ron, I have decades of experience in hospitality, as the owner of one of Seattle's most beloved restaurants. I expanded into home renovation during 2010 as general contractor as my wife and I brought our 1967 home into the 21st century. We updated every inch of the home and are comfortable on the first floor of this three story home. We especially love the location, the feeling of being in the forest as we gaze out on the wooded garden and watch the birds.

Why they chose this property

We have lived in Northeast Seattle for years, but especially enjoy this home for its tranquil setting combined with easy access to everything we love. We can be in the Cascade or Olympic Mountains, on Puget Sound, or the San Juan Islands in no time. Our community is diverse, urban, literate and comfortable.

What makes this property unique

We adopted the Pacific Northwest as our home many years ago, have raised our children here, and are now ready to share our community with visitors. We trust you will leave Seattle as smitten as we are!
