Our timing was probably not best with the lake view covered in snow. But the home was well equipped and we enjoyed being close to shopping/restaurants/etc....
House was well equipped with everything we needed. Clean and offers amazing views of the lake. We especially enjoyed the enclosed porch for meals. The fishing was exceptional and the lake is clear and beautiful! Would recommend!

Zach, we’re very happy you enjoyed your time at the lake! It was great hosting you and your group and we’d be happy to welcome you back anytime!
My friends and I had a wonderful time up north. There were 7 of us in total with plenty of room to sleep and move around the cabin. They have so many fun games at the place and a big yard/beach that you can use to enjoy the outdoors. Finally, this location has great access to Brainerd, Baxter, and very nice golf courses in the area. Highly recommend for a stay!
Cute house, clean, quiet neighborhood and quiet lake. Lake is weedy and small but easily kayaked. The public beach is large and clean and easy to get to. We enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen, plenty of space indoor and out.
Up for a weekend stay to go to a wedding, had our two adult kids and their SO's stay with us. Plenty of room for all and felt comfortable right away. Would be a good lake rental if you're looking for one, has it's own small beach as well as a public beach nearby. Prompt and courteous responses from the hosts whenever we had a question. The listing is accurate.
Group of 4 of us stayed for a long weekend to kick off the 2024 golf season up in Brainerd. The lake house was a great location on Lower Whipple Lake and golf courses at Cragun’s and Madden’s were both within 10 minutes. Plenty of room inside and outside with upper living room for watching NBA playoffs, upper sunroom was nice for taking in lake views, and 2 game rooms with ping pong in the basement and other games in the garage. Owner was very timely on communication and even gave us an early checkin to get settled in before starting up our golf rounds. Outdoor beach and fire pit with fire wood available for purchase on property so convenient and don’t need to do a separate run for firewood. Would stay there again and highly recommend.
Morgan & Nick, thank you for opening up your home on Whipple Lake. We know the area pretty well, but never seem to find ourselves here during the summer months when more shops are open and there are more things to do everywhere.
We enjoyed having such a nice, comfortable place to return to after our days filled with shopping and adventures. We had time for mini-golf at Pirate's Cove, Big Jay's Pizza Arcade and even Nisswa's Turtle Races and The Chocolate Ox.
The space here even allowed us to have our family in town over for a BBQ. The kids caught fish off the dock and took the kayak out a few times as well as making smores at the campfire. We enjoyed coffee on the deck while watching the wildlife and serenity of the lake. Thank you again for a great start to our summer.
Communication with the host was timely and friendly! The view of the lake was very pretty and the neighborhood was quiet and seemed charming! I would just give a small piece of constructive feedback - ensure there’s plenty of working soap dispensers filled with hand soap and not a mixture of water and soap in all the bathrooms and the kitchen. We used dish soap for our hands in the kitchen. If there was a way to have more lighting in the family room as well as there wasn’t a main light, just a lamp and it got quite dark, which required us to need to have the kitchen light and split entry light on. That would be the only recommendations for change :)
Our family had a fantastic stay at this cabin over the week of the 4th of July!! The kids loved the sand beach and kayak. We also brought some stand-up paddle boards which worked great on the lake since it was pretty calm. The kitchen had everything we needed. We appreciated having lots of basic items (dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, foil wrap, paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, etc...) available to use. Less trips to the store for a forgotten item. The kids also loved the ping pong table and darts - what a fun hangout area for the tween/teen crew. We played bocce ball on the large front lawn area. The neighbors put on quite a firework show. There are lots of species of birds that you can listen to and watch from the deck. Perfect place for morning coffee. Overall the owners have done a great job with this vacation rental and we hope to be back!
It was a great time at the Lake House! Traveled with two families, 9 of us in total, and had plenty of room. Kids enjoyed the basement with ping pong table and backyard was large enough for activity and cornhole.
The house was cozy and clean with comfortable beds and the outdoor grill was very useful. Sun room allowed you to be 'outside' without being outside. Living room with smart TV was a nice gathering place to watch a movie as a family.
We all loved the private beach and dock area, and were excited to have a jet ski delivered to the public access dock at Whipple Lake - super convenient and no extra cost for delivery.
The lake was quiet and uncrowded during the week, which made for relaxing floats in the kayak each morning. Public beach across the lake was a two minute drive and included bathrooms and a playground area.
Convenient location close to shopping and amenities. We spent time in neighboring city of Nisswa - would recommend a visit.
The property owners were very responsive and worked with us on any questions/concerns. Check-in/check-out was simple.
Very nice owners who take pride in offering a great experience. Would love to come back.
A visit to the Lake House is recommended!
