Recently built studio. Full kitchen with dishwasher, range, microwave, fridge, etc. TV, skylight, tiled bathroom, closet, and basic amenities. Counter seating is great for dining or work area. WIFI included. Private entrance, private outdoor parking, private outdoor space with barbecue and patio.

Located next to Sinsheimer Park. Public tennis courts, swimming pool, disc golf course, sand volleyball court, baseball fields, children's play area. (Happy park noise can be heard during the day if you're in the yard.) Close to bike trail. Easy walk to Seven Sisters coffee shop, Kruezberg coffee and cafe Bang the Drum Brewery, The Bunker: coffee and gallery, Efren's Mexican food. 25 minute walk to downtown San Luis Obispo. Close to French Hospital.

I really enjoyed this spacious quiet studio and its lovely private patio. I regularly walked the Railroad Trail into SLO's historic Railroad District and connected to Osos St for an easy walk into the heart of SLO. The studio is clean and well designed. The hosts are very pleasant.

Such a fantastic peaceful retreat

I loved my time here and will look to return when I can. The location is great, I can walk to the park, the food coop, Taste eatery. It's quiet - even though you can hear kids playing at the park next door which is nice as it reminds me I'm part of a community here. Well stocked with just what one needs.

Sinsheimer VRBO

This little studio is a gem. The hosts lived in it while they were remodeling the main house, so it is very nicely appointed throughout. I especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and the easily accessible laundry facilities. It rained a good deal while I was there, so I did not get to make much use of the patio, which is bisected by the headwaters of Acacia Creek. In fairer weather it would provide some very pleasant additional space. Kate and Steve were exemplary hosts, friendly but not intrusive. Highly recommended! The setting is wonderful, tucked away down a private driveway, yet bordering on Sinsheimer Park. Terrace Hill is a stroll away, and a couple of coffee shops, a micro-brewery and a beer garden are all within walking distance. Groceries, restaurants, and the best trails around San Luis are farther afield. I had a car, which is probably a necessity here; a space in the driveway is available for the renter.

We love SLO and can't wait for you to fall in love with it too. Surfing, tennis, wine-tasting, biking, hiking, beaches, parks, trails…it's all accessible and we enjoy every bit of it. We live and work in SLO and raised our family here. We welcome all humans! If you're here on an extended vacation or working in the area, check out our spot. We have two dogs (they don't have access to the studio or the private outdoor space). Unfortunately, no guest pets are allowed.

Why they chose this property

We're in a safe, friendly residential neighborhood and back up to a park and school. You might hear happy park sounds during the day. It's easy to bike from here or walk to coffee shops (try Lucy's, Nautical Bean at the Bunker), a brewery (looking at you, Bang the Drum), Mexican food. Downtown is about a 20 minute walk or 10 minute bike ride via the bike/walking bridge at Jennifer Street. Sinsheimer park is right next door: swimming pool, kid's play structures, tennis, sand volleyball, baseball fields, disc golf, etc.

What makes this property unique

Your studio retreat has a private patio with a propane grill. San Luis Obispo is known for its near-perfect weather so enjoy a good book or meal outside.
