Outback Island Adventures

We really enjoyed the HRV with a pop up tent. Camping on the beach at Polihale State Beach was amazing and we loved every minute of it. Would 10/10 recommend it sometime!!

This is a great way to see the island, and we definitely recommend this type of all wheel drive camping experience as a way to travel on Kaua’i. This is a solid truck, and has most of the items you need — just be prepared to go to the store to buy anything missing or broken (headlamps / extra butane / sleeping mats). Nick and team provide a guidebook of campsites where it’s safe/permitted to rooftop camp, and are accessible when things come up (for example, a bunch of engine lights came on in the middle of our trip). Two stars off for the reasons above and because the tent is in need of some serious TLC. Most of the window zips were busted and needed to be pinned closed to keep the rain or insects out. We would just recommend HawaiiOverlanders implement a quality control check between travelers!

Pratique pour allier véhicule et logement

Très bonne communication avec le loueur, vidéos explicatives très utiles. Il faut néanmoins parler et comprendre l'anglais car le loueur est rapide dans ses explications et communication verbale lors de la prise en charge du véhicule. Très arrangeant, le loueur mets volontiers à disposition des serviettes de plage ou petit accessoires supplémentaires sur demande. Les points négatifs : véhicule bruyant à la conduite, pas très agréable à la conduite, mais très pratique pour l'accès au chemins réservés au 4x4. Peu de place dans le coffre pour les bagages, avec la place que prend les équipements et accessoires pour le campement. Nous aurions apprécier que les duvets et couvertures pour dormir sentent aussi bon que les serviettes de plage, du linge propre pour dormir c'est mieux. Sinon dans l'ensemble cela a été une bonne expérience. Un petit bémol sur le tarif, qui est onéreux.
