Perfect little home on a big plot of land. Beautiful days and nights and a great break from stress at work. We loved the outdoor shower system. I think our dog enjoyed the stay more than we did. Just don't touch the fence, that kinda hurt.
Last minute trip that didn’t disappoint. The place was very clean and well decorated. If you can get over the bathroom situation, which was still pleasantly surprising; then this is a great spot for a night or two. Get back to the basics! I would definitely stay again!
I stayed here on my motorcycle as I was riding the Blue Ridge Parkway down to Cherokee. The stay was pleasant and clean. Accurate pictures and wonderful area.
Everything was perfect and just as listed. It was so quiet and peaceful. It really is a "stargazing" cabin, as the stars are amazing to look at when night comes. Would definitely recommend!
Charming location, private, great attention to detail
My husband and I stayed for a week. The cottage has great scenery and it was lovely walking on the property. It was incredibly peaceful on rainy days, and the stars were breath taking on clear nights. The owner was kind enough to volunteer bringing in an AC unit for unseasonably warm nights. I found him very easy to reach out to, while otherwise we had a lot of privacy. The kitchen had everything needed for grilling, microwaving, and simple food prep. The outdoor bathroom had lights for use at night, and was easy to use overall. The bed is on the small side, so my husband opted to use the futon bed. It was very easy to set up. If you don’t like firm bedding, but want to use the futon, we’d recommend bringing a topper to make it more comfortable. For those with mobility limitations, there were no railings on the back steps, but only one step in front, with nearby beams to hold onto. I found it easiest to go out the front to use the restroom, since it is a very short, flat walk. This was the perfect place for getting out into nature while still having electricity and basic comforts.
A great place for peace and quiet, away from technology and the city life,we really enjoyed the time we spent sitting around the fire, having a couple drinks under the stars,it was amazing,we spent 3 days and we will definitely be back, the host was quick to respond back to any questions we had and helped in any way, thanks for letting us stay in your cute little cabin ❤️
Everything was as described, but it was hot when we came in and there was no AC and no wi fi signal to contact owner. Fortunately we got a cross breeze from the windows which helped immensely.
Great property close to hiking at Stone Mt and a winery tour!
Amazing views and the place is as decribed. We enjoyed the location and views very much. Cozy tiny home with beautiful town and privacy, great for bringing a dog. Loved the amount of technology and what was provided. For future bookers, just know that the bathroom situation is definitely rough, which they did warn us of. It is a basic camping toilet without water, so staying for several days and around bugs makes it tough, but right for a camping experience. Other than that everything else was absolutely perfect, the hosts went above and beyond. We highly recommend this beautiful haven for anyone that loves gorgeous views and peacefulness in an amazing rural town (with the nicest people too!). We are so excited to come back to this area again in the future. Thank you so so much!!
With the simple off the grid tiny house; I really connected with nature, and my God. The beautiful countryside with a beautiful stream that runs through the property is very peaceful. The skies are clear blue with thousands of twinkling stars. I slept great from the clean country air, and I couldn’t wait to get back, after a day in town. Lin and Randy are awesome host’s. They will be there to meet your every need. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of this very special spot.
First of all Thanks to Tabitha's husband for helping with the door code to open the door. We are just not code foks! LOL As senior citizens this was an interesting stay but we enjoyed the tiny cabin. Thought we were back at our grandparents as young people. The bed sleeps wonderful and we want one of whatever brand it is only bigger size. Wish we could have been there in the fall. Also it is not easy if you are handicapped. The outside toilet is interesting but cute. Overall we enjoyed the time we had there.
The property was beautiful and we saw a lovely light show by all the lightning bugs or fireflys that night. The house was very cute but there was no light in the outside bathroom when we went at 4 am the next morning makin it difficult to see,
This property was perfect for a quick overnight but I would love to come back for a longer stay. Definitely off grid, peaceful and quiet. Perfect if you want to reconnect with nature and/or a significant other. So cozy. Lovely stargazing with the nearby stream providing a nice background melody. Charming! Even my crotchety old boyfriend was happy.
Couple of practical notes:
- depending on your carrier, cell reception may be lacking. I have AT&T and had just enough juice to get a text through. Could not make a call. Or receive a call, which was frankly awesome!
- if arriving after sunset, bring a flashlight. This was helpful to navigate the driveway, steps and the lock on the door.
- the keypad: 1. GO SLOW. 2. The keypad on the back door seemed to work better than the front door. 3. You don’t have to push hard on the keys.
- the outdoor toilet: there are instructions for flushing inside the lid. Be smarter than I was; take your flashlight and your readers (if needed) on your first visit to the commode. The instructions aren’t hard to follow as long as you can read them!
Go in with an open heart and mind, disconnect from your devices and ENJOY!
My daughter and I stayed at this property. We loved it! It is nicely decorated and the owner has thought of everything to make your stay convenient. I am not sure this would apply to all cell users but Verizon users will not have a signal there. That was not an issue for us. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a fantastic time at the tiny house! The property is beautiful, the decor and lighting are super cute, and it's very well thought out. There's beautiful sunset views and amazing views of the stars!
Delightful home to stay in. Just minutes from Stone Mountain and close to Doughton Recreation Area. So many thoughtful touches that make the stay just perfect. Enjoyed having some time to disconnect and enjoy the stars. A little slice of paradise! Highly recommend!
