Great one bedroom house! My husband, son and I stayed here for one night and this was a great house for us! Great communication with owner and easy check in/out process.
It definitely needs new chairs on the front porch because you can't sit on them. It would be a great accommodation to have a grill. It was so peaceful and so comfortable I will come back.
Charming little home, location convenient for exploring: museums, state park, forts, restaurants. Easy to communicate and work with host - thank you Daniel.

Nice Host
Property ended up not being what we needed but he was nice to work with
Love this little house. It’s in old Abilene. Close to downtown. My kids and I stayed one night. Cozy and comfy beds. Host is quick and responsive. Will be booking again.
There were only a couple concerns 1 I’m not used to open flame wall heaters that I got to experience for the night and the other was the automated door locks kept sounding like they would reset every hour. Being a woman alone I didn’t sleep well but otherwise nice little spot
Big screen in master bedroom doesn’t work so don’t expect to watch tv from room. Didn’t communicate well about check in time so I found a strange encounter with man cleaning. I left one night early and found another option.
Had to chase down the owner with IM and phone call two hours after checkin time to get entry instructions. Did a drive by and was a bad neighborhood. Never went inside, didn’t feel secure
There were stickers all in front yard and my dog did not want to use it. The toilet was so low I had a hard time getting up. I had to kill a large roach and two huge flies. The step up from the street was a foot wide and I had a hard time stepping up out of the street because of arthritic knee. This house should not be advertised as pet friendly nor for handicapped people.
Neighborhood is fine, house was very clean except in cupboards, drawers & closet. Feels like someone's mother passed away and they quickly cleaned it up for renting. Biggest issue is with lighting; curtains block all natural light with little way to open them (there are solutions for privacy for windows opening to the street, living room had zero light for nighttime, bedroom only an overhead fan light, and broken side lamp, which made everything seem dingy. Yes, furniture is very old (not in an antique way) and outdated but OK if it were arranged differently, need a rug on the bedroom subfloor. I was there when cold front was coming in, heat was insufficient and felt dangerous as the gas wall heaters are very old. I use gas wall heaters in New Orleans, important to have them updated. Essentially, with a few tweaks, this house could be more marketable & you could charge more. As a superhost with four properties, I'm very sensitive to guests' comfort and experience, this was not a comfortable experience for me, though I did appreciate the cleanliness.
The home was overall comfortable and fine. I was a little disappointed in the cleanliness (dust, etc). Also part of the floors are unfinished and i kept catching my foot/socks on the uneven parts which wasn't comfortable.
The neighborhood is an older neighborhood but it's a good neighborhood. It was extremely quiet at all times and I never heard sirens. Don't let older fool you into thinking it's dangerous.
A big positive..... the water heater broke and water was everywhere. I immediately contacted Daniel. Even though he was out of town he got on it and repair started quickly. It was going to take a while so I wasn't able to stay but Daniel took care of me. His communication through all was wonderful. A water heater giving out was not his fault, it happens, but he handled it well. Thank you Daniel.
